More options when writing emails.
It would be great to see more options when writing mail, with regards to font. Actual size (in pts.), underline, etc. Also a few more options in formatting, possibly columns with adjustable width and justification.
Also, and this is probably something I'm missing, but how do I create and save a signature?

Several inferior e-mail applications provide a larger choice of typefaces than Yahoo! Please give us some additional choices.

How the heck do you change font or even color and script for all compose new. Why do we have to do for each and every one. How can we save what we want???????????????????
It needs to stay not leave every time you hit send.
Signature I got, but the body of email goes back to plain Jane black upright letters. -

I think users can just go into WORD, type up whatever columns features are available, then copy that into an email. Spreadsheet features are just that. Ya'll have enough to do just with email features.

I am very frustrated with composing an email and responding to a thread. I am unable to cut and paste to move text where I want it to be it always defaults to the beginning. When I try to format my reply as I go everything gets very messed up and I am unable to undo. I tried to copy and paste a reference in an email I was composing but was unable to. Please add more options as outlined in the original message.

What does it take get through to you Yahoo? Leave the mail just the way it used to be. Now we have to delete each email one by one. If it isn't broke then don't fix/change it. Besides it all looks amateurish/confusing and ridiculous now and I will probably look into changing from yahoo to something else.

It looks like the editor supports the standard word-processing keyboard shortcuts for text formatting: Ctrl-B for Bold, Ctrl-I for Italic, and Ctrl-U for Underline. So even though there isn't a button for underlining text, you can use Ctrl-U instead. As for fancy formatting, I think you'll have to write those in an online word processor like Google Docs, then copy/paste into Yahoo mail. I just tried that, and bullets, tables, and colors came through fine. Columns don't paste, fonts paste but get stripped when you actually send the message.
Signature settings are actually available in two places:
gear icon -> "More Settings" -> "Writing email" -> "Signature"
or,
gear icon -> "More Settings" -> "Mailboxes" -> Select your account from the list -> enable signatures in the right-hand pane.
