How can we improve New Mail?

    I'm 17570 comments late by the looks of things :-)

    How the **** do you change the font style? The default is woefully 'blocky', and seems unchangeable.

    I'm considering migrating all my email to a non web-based 'proper' program, but this (as Yahoo probably knows) is not a trivial task. I've been using Yahoo for nearly 20 years, but things are looking pretty dire nowadays.

    I'm with this person- give me back my old format. Striving to make improvements without asking is not the smartest idea. This may actually blow your mind but not everyone lives in a city. Not everyone has fiber internet. Having ads that pop up and change constantly - ties up downloads and makes waiting for my mail to download very annoying. When a folder is empty having videos - that I don't care 2 cents about - just start playing - sucks up more bandwidth and slows stuff down. If you want a way for people to leave yahoo and go to gmail - hotmail or wherever else- keep doing these new changes.

    I liked the background photo.

    I also prefer the light (but not white) muted shade of the darker color. It's easier on the eyes and when I have a sinus headache or migraine-like headache, I can still check my email. And...even when I don't have a headache, I can stay online longer and I won't get a headache from the bright white background of the email list.

    As I said, it's *much* easier on the eyes than the stark white.

    I had just typed a "nice" message, but it disappeared. So, here goes another message.

    I do not like this "upgrade" for several reasons. First, the font size is not adjustable. I was able to pick a font size that was comfortable for me to read. Secondly, as one of your other posters wrote, I do not want the "frilly colors" and the white background is very bright. I look away and it's like my eyes were hit with a flash from a camera. Third, why am I not able to condense the "toolbar" at the top? I could in the past. I could go on, but I'll stop here.

    When your people make these "formatting changes", it takes people time to relearn how to implement these changes. People are busy and do not have time to sit behind their computers as your "tech nerds" do to figure out how to use the "new format".

    As other posters have said, let me go back to the "old email format". And, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

    If you make these changes for "security reasons", make subtle changes. I don't mind changes, but not one "massive change" where I can not make "tweaks" to my email so it fits me and my work.

    Don't like it. It has messed up the video on everything on my desktop. I want it changed back.

    The New Mail is too bright white to view, the older classic mail is not the same white and is easier on the eyes. With the New Mail my eyes cannot take the white so I have to switch back to the Classic Mail, the older Mail. Not sure why the New Mail is SO bright white, if you fixed this I would stay with the New Mail.

    I am sick of you changing without notifying first....I have been trying to send/forward my e-mail and it is impossible to do...I am unable to answer any oif my e-mails...I AM FURIOUS!!!!
