stop with the 'improvements'.
they have not worked in the past. i would be fine with a 'text only' version.i really do not need and do not WANT cutesey fonts, dancing guys and the like.
i am 70.
really am fine just like we used to write letters. real letters, real numbers, plain old
notes & stuff. -

This new version lost very important features that wastes my time when organizing my emails.
1) The delete option when mousing over a message was removed. The last version of Yahoo! mail had a quick option to delete the message. Now hovering over a message only offers searching or starring. This wastes my time by forcing me to select an individual email and then clicking on the delete button in order to delete a single message, rather than clicking the single trash can icon next to the message.
2) Option to delete individual messages in a thread is programmed ineffectively. When I delete an email message in a thread, Yahoo! mail only either jumps to the next message or returns to the message's box, which makes it look like I deleted the whole email thread rather than the single message. This is very annoying because I have to navigate back to the original message group in order to delete more messages in that thread. In the last version, I was able to delete individual email messages in a thread without being redirected to the next message (which is unnecessary and incredibly confusing). The last version did have was a glitch where deleting individual messages was only effective from the Sent box. Regardless, it was a lot simpler than what we have now, being redirected even though there were more messages I want to delete from the last thread.
The second-to-last version of Yahoo! mail was the best at handling this job by allowing the user to highlight then delete multiple messages in the thread, so no one wastes time deleting individual messages (which was much easier than now with deleting individual messages and going back to the original thread in order to continue deleting individual messages).3) Views menu is unnecessary and pushes the other folders beyond view, further slowing my ability to navigate my email by forcing me to either hide the views menu (which should be a permanent option rather than a temporary one) or scroll down to view my customized folders.
I suggest instead giving us the option to customize what default folders we see and an option to permanently remove the Views menu.
5) Preview under "Writing email" is actually very nice. I appreciate that a lot, but unfortunately this is the only good comment I have for the new version of Yahoo! mail.
6) Fix your Post comment button. It has yet to work for me, so I can only hope this comment somehow gets posted.
All things considered, I'm going back to the previous version of Yahoo! mail until the system forces me to switch for good. The last version was much more useful and saves me more time than this new version.

Preferred the old format. I do not want to have to whitelist to use Yahoo mail on my PC. I get enough ads on my phone app, thank you.

I do not like ads posted in with my e-mails !!!We are very tired of having ads crammed down our throats every time we turn around., so myself and around 50 other people(so far) have got together and any ads that pop up and are invasive, we will not for any reason do business with those companies! thank-you! BUY THIS! BUY THIS! BUY THIS! BUY THIS! BUY THIS! BUY THIS!

* GET RID OF THE POPUP:
"YOUR BROWSER SETTINGS COULD BE INTERFERING WITH MAIL FEATURES"!!!
THIS DAMNED POP IS WHAT'S INTERFERING WITH MAIL FEATURES.
* In general I've consistently preferred Yahoo Mail over GMail, but such stuff is shifting that balance. -

I guess If I had no life other than sitting in front of my PC I wouldn't mind learning a new user interface every time the yahoo kids decide to make a change. Thank you. I'll now move everything to GMAIL and stop using Yahoo. As long as I need to learn a new system anyway it might as well be one that works.
