Every time I switch between work and home computers, I get a time zone alert. Both computers are on the same time zone. Very annoying.

Every single time I log in to my Yahoo mail I receive a message that new time zone is detected, although I am in the same time zone all the time. I go to settings and enter my city, but it does not help.
Please fix this, I will have to delete my email account if this keeps repeating. -

What is also frustrating is that EVERY time it pops up, I click ignore, yet when I log in from another machine in another time zone, it asks me. If it really ignored it, it would only pop up on one machine. The original time zone should still be default.

Get new developers. Your current ones obviously don't know what they're doing

Me too. I quit using the new mail when it was first an option because it kept doing it to me. It looks like they haven't fixed it yet. I'm on a Mac (OS 10.12.6) using the latest Safari, although it happened with older versions as well.

whenever I login to my mail I get the message " NEW TIME ZONE DETECTED UPDATE YOUR LOCATION IGNORE", My Laptop time zone & clock are correctly timed to local time, and I am not travelling either, but it keeps showing this spurious msg.

When I use the firefox browser I am asked everytime i launch it to set my time zone. I have tried clicking it thinking it would take but it does not. It is annoying and needs to be fixed.

Even though I have set our time zone properly, it still keeps asking me the question every time I go in to Yahoo Mail

Stop telling me a new time zone has been detected. You are just telling me how ****** your software is

The new time zone pop-up doesn't seem to detect my IP location correctly - I suspect it's assuming that I'm on the East coast (where my ISP has its headquarters), rather than in the west where I actually live.

I'm annoyed because every day I get a message saying Yahoo has detected a new time zone and then it asks me if I want to update. I get this message regardless of whether my time zone is right or wrong. If I don't ignore the message it brings up the email page and doesn't update my time zone anyway. So it's irrelevant or dysfunctional, either way completely worthless. Can someone tell me how to stop this from happening?

Drop the time zone notice from my email. It's part of windows. Yahoo doesn't need it.

Same here, really annoying, sometimes I have to click on the message a couple of times for it to go away, because for some reason it doesn't detect clicks...
