Every time I switch between work and home computers, I get a time zone alert. Both computers are on the same time zone. Very annoying.

Constantly asked to change/update timezone. I have my work computer on Eastern time because that is my work location but I live in the West Coast time. Please stop asking me to update my timezone. I even set it to my west coast location in the settings. By the way the steps listed by your help team in others' requests to set time zone are wrong. It should be Settings -->More Settings --> Viewing Emails.

Stop it telling me my timezone has changed when it has not for 5 years. The blinking search symbol at the top of the screen is annoying.

Mine as well, and now my email time stamps are an hour behind!

I think the settings are under "viewing e-mail" not writing. Also "follow the remaining steps" make no sense to me.
Even after updating the setting, the pop-up keeps coming back. I work on several computers during the day, and I guess one of the Ip addresses is supposed to be in a different time zone (they're not, but I don't manage those servers).
Are you saying this setting is saved in the cache of the computer I'm working on? So do I need to repeat this step everytime I work on a different PC? This message does not pop-up on the other computers I'm working on. So I'm utterly confused why I get this message on one PC only. It's the only PC that's on Windows 10; is that the issue? Or does it have anything to do with pop-up blockers?

I corrected it manually, but it still comes up. By the way "- Follow the remaining steps from there." There is no more step to follow. Is it?

I have the same problem. I clear my cache after every browser session (firefox) - perhaps that has an influence. At any rate, clicking ignore every single time is a nuisance, especially since I can't ignore the question and just get about working on e-mail. Why not just have the notification as an opt-in: if it pops up and someone cares, they can click on it, and if not, it fades away after a while. All the while you can keep working on e-mail.

This happens everytime I open my work computer or my home computer when I've been working in the other location. Also, the timezone setting does not find my home address by zip code or city name.

Seems like when I open from a different computer I get 'new timezone detected' message, both in the same time zone. Should have a dismiss every time if you cannot fix this

I discovered that if I hit the refresh button on my browser, mail reloads with no timezone message. Very strange behavior.

Message "New time zone detected" keeps popping up every time I open Yahoo mail. I have changed my location in my profile and I have changed the time zone in the calendar's profile and hit "save". What else can I do to stop this?

You can manually set your timezone by:- Click on the mail settings icon in the upper right
- Select more settings
- Select Writing Email
- Below Location and timezone enter the city
- Follow the remaining steps from there.Thank you!
Mail SupportThe option is in my "Viewing Email" and the GMT - 04:00 where as in my calendar, it is GMT - 05:00 (Eastern Time which is the correct time for my location). Please check into this.

I suggest you either link your annoying message about detecting a new time zone to a functional page on which to select a time zone or at least allow us to simply set our own time zone in our personal settings.

I have the same thing. I read that the setting was in calendar, which I changed and saved, but the message keeps coming back. Where else do I check for this? Very annoying every time I open "Mail".

Everytime I open the beta of Yahoo Mail I get a popup stating a new time zone is available, extremely annoying. I have set my preferred time zone in the settings.
