It seem like the only "Upgrade" to this new mail is an attempt to force people to turn off their Adblocker. I see no other real changes. Given how many ads Yahoo! has had over the years which re-directed me to other unscrupulous sites (mainly fraudulent "Update Firefox" sites), this is something I will never do.
I'm all for businesses using advertising as a way of keeping their services free for people such as myself to use, but only in so much as those ads are:
1. Reasonably inconspicuous.
2. SAFE!!!!!!!Thank you.

Stop asking me to white list you. I have adblock for a reason...you. I want the old format back. This one is useless and only designed to make us watch your stupid ads. Thank God for gmail, 365mail, etc. Suck my left one.

If you are really listening to suggestions being made, it is pretty obvious your customers hate all the pop ups, and incessant ads!!!! i PERSONALLY AM VERY UPSET THAT i CANNOT READ MY MAIL because of the ad to the right taking up so much space, plus it seems the letter page it self is pushed to the right toward the ads! But I see if I pay you extra I can get rid of these ads, or so it says!!! I think it's probably just as easy to go to gmail!!!!

I will not whitelist Yahoo mail. The ads slow it down, and they eat up my processor, in either browser I use, like no other page does. I'll keep blocking ads until yours are less intrusive and actually work.

Absolutely agree. Too much tracking, too much information gathering, too many hacked sites (copy that Yahoo?), too many ads, too many greedy fat cats, and too much scripting.

If you made the ads smaller and such that they didn't block 1/3rd of the screen, I might not block them. As it is, it is just an annoyance. You guys don't know how to not annoy people. LESS is MORE. I don't even mind so much that you data mine and put up ads that I might be more interested in. I do mind auto-play video/audio...flashing ads...and ads that block content. So, I will continue to block the ads that I can because you guys just don't get it. I have other email venues available, so if it comes to it, I will just change my primary email address. So take a hint...reduce the size of the ads so they don't block content and stop with the auto-playing ads and people might actually stop blocking them.

The ad blocker is there to block ads, DUH !!! My blocker says it blocked 79 requests for cookie info and I've only read one e-mail. I check e-mail once a day, never more than 15 minutes. Up to 84 in the time it took to write this.

turn off my adblocker? even with it, I'm getting way too much junk - and how can throwing more ads into the mix possibly 'improve performance'?
what a joke of an excuse to get me to turn off the adblocker.

Try giving an explanation when you use never-before-used terms, such as "whitelist."

ad blockers are meant to filter out ads. this doesn't make sense. not gonna whitelist yahoo mail ever. Pls only show ads on the main yahoo page.

yahoo's ads for russian ladies are the very reason why I installed an adblocker many years ago.
Asking me to whitelist yahoo is preposterous.
Because of the many ways in which yahoo tries to push ads to me, I will never remove the adblocker and I also will never pay for your email service. When I have no other options anymore, I will switch to another paid mailing service. -

Please stop bothering me about my adblocker - it is a pain...

and why was the accurate and sociologically valid word -******- turned to ******? Has communist China bought Yahoo then?
