no notifications for spam
There used to be a notification in the form of a number to inform users on the number of spam emails. Now it does not show anymore. There is legitimate email that had been directed to my spam box and didn't know of as i thought I do not have any spam email. Pls look into this! Thank you.

The spam counter is missing in the new layout, while it was present in the old one.
This URGENTLY NEEDS to be fixed.
It is stupid to remove valuable information indicators. -

This DEFINITELY needs fixing. It is not logical to have no notification of new SPAM mails arriving. It is eminently fixable by simply adding the number of mail messages after the SPAM name (as per INBOX). This simple issue worked perfectly on the original mail. Now on this version, it does not. It is utterly nonsensical. Valid and valued emails are being missed. It is a simple but vital matter and is a show stopper from this version. Please remedy. It is obviously an oversight as it worked perfectly in the original version (the one before 'this'). Please repair this.

Agreed 100 percent. I have sat on important Emails that were in my Spams folder, not knowing that they were there. Non spam Email happen to end up in Spam folder for whatever reason but nothing tells us that there are mails in the spam folder, like it was before with the Mail counter.

I'm having the same issue. Important emails are ending up in the spam folder and there's no notification that the folder contains anything. Gmail has this feature and Yahoo mail used to. Please fix this.

Show Number of Emails in Trash & Spam Folders - You keep closing the suggestions related to this, supposedly, from one response I gather it's because you could hoover over the folder to see the # of emails there, however, the other folders tell you there is mail in the specific folder, and, in case you didn't know, it is good practice to review the spam you have for legitimate email and get rid of actual spam. In Classic Mail you showed when there was spam, it was obvious. Why on earth would you remove this? So many of your "enhancements" make absolutely no sense and are actually counter-intuitive. Now there is no choice to use the old, better classic version, so the choice now is to use this far worse version, or leave Yahoo, which is sad.

I would like to know if there are any new emails in my spam folder at a glance. The only way to know now is to hover over the folder. Why did you add an extra step?
