I mistakenly marked an e-mail as Spam
I accidently marked an e-mail as Spam and it wasn't Spam. What can I do? I want to keep receiving those e-mails and I'm afraid I won't now. Please help!!!

The best way to resolve this is to mark the emails as “Not Spam”, that way you can train the spam filter to better identify important emails in the future. Also if you use a mobile device or email client to access your mail over IMAP, please check the Spam filters in that application, to make sure it’s not marking important emails as spam.

Quit sending my Email to spam. I'll choose for myself what to send to spam.

Important emails often end up in the Spam folder, which has no indicator to show that it contains a new message. After 30 days you automatically delete these emails, with no way to recover them.
Around 90% of the emails flagged as spam are false positives, so if I don't constantly open the Spam folder I end up losing numerous legitimate emails without ever seeing them. I've come dangerously close to having vital emails deleted (e.g. official letters saved from Spam folder after sitting undetected for 28 days). I'm sure many other important emails were auto-deleted and I'll never even know what they contained.
Either give us a warning that an incoming email has been diverted to the Spam folder, or don't delete unseen emails from the folder.
Even just reinstating a simple counter next to the folder name (like every other folder still has) would reduce the problem significantly. Why was such a basic feature ever removed?

Why can't emails on my Contacts list always be delivered to my Inbox? These are saved contacts and the emails from them ALWAYS go to my Spam folder. I mark them as "Not Spam", then the next time they in my Spam. Has been a problem for months. My comment from 2 months ago is unanswered. Gets really old.

How do I turn off Spam filter? Yahoo *** are filtering out messages I want. "Not Spam" button does nothing.
I am MISSING some of my inbound emails that biased Yahoo aye holes think I should not get. Yet when I click "Not Spam" they still go to the Spam folder. Stop effing up Yahoo***.

The whole spam processing that Yahoo! has implemented is a pile of ****!
First of all, the folder needs to have the same capabilities as the inbox. This means, for example, the ability to search!
When an email is selected as "NOT SPAM" it should NEVER appear in the spam folder again!

Legitimate email, from a sender in Contacts, frequently gets routed to Spam folder. I have repeatedly marked the sender's messages as "Not Spam," but this continues to happen.

Create a "white list" file so that your idiotic system does not keep putting important emails into the spam folder. I have a subscription that keeps getting cancelled because for some unknown reason, their emails end up in the spam folder. It's enough to make me drop Yahoo entirely. Fix it or lose users!

Look, I understand that you do not give any user actual control over the spam filter. Adding a sender or domain to my contacts does not at all promise to keep the emails out of spam. I get that you are relying on machine-learning to filter spam messages - but can you at least put more weight on my own actions that train the model, instead of your entire email user base? At 20 billion page views per month, and being the 11th most trafficked site in the US, your spam filters continue to send messages from Craigslist to the spam folder. And I can sit and refresh every minute in my spam folder and not see anything new, then suddenly hours later, a message appears in spam that was received while I was refreshing over and over again. You cost me another possible gig (aka job) today, and you blew a sale on something I really needed last week...

Emails from saved contacts are going to my Spam folder. No filters are otherwise making them go there. I have marked them as "Not Spam" sooooooooo many times. Has no effect. Still in Spam. I shouldn't have to set up a filter just to get Contact's emails to deliver to my Inbox, not Spam.

emails from my contacts should not go to the spam filter.
On the same day one contact sent 2 emails one went to spam one went to inbox. this is not acceptable. It is very bad when my wife says what do you think about my email and it was the one in the spam box. fyi the sender domain was Hotmail.com -

Either fix your useless spam filters or let us whitelist groups. Your **** is even spamlisting your own Yahoo Group emails. Good job there.

Since I renewed my Yahoo email account, Yahoo is blocking image content from the Washington Post and other emails I used to get and they are now being sent to my Spam folder. I mark them as 'not Spam' but it keeps happening and then the Washington Post gets word that I'm marking their emails as Spam and they stop sending me their news. I am not doing anything manually to alert the WP that their emails are Spam.

Kijiji is Canada's biggest classifieds. THe email notifications from there always go to Spam folder. I always mark as NOT SPAM, yet they always end up there.
You have to fix this. This does not happen with gmail.

I get emails regarding puppies up for adoption in my area...well, I'm supposed to, but your ******* spam system routes them directly into Trash or Spam when they are on my accepted sender list! I pay for the ad-free mail, and you now have one VERY ****** off paying customer! Fix your useless spam filter, or I'll cancel my subscription and go to G Mail!
