Add a contact from received message
Bring back the capability to add a new contact directly from a received message! It is ridiculous that you have to copy the email address, exit the email message, open up your contact list, and add a new contact! Why did you ever take away this function?!? Please bring back the drop down menu for accessing contact details when simply hovering your mouse over an email address!
Thank you for reaching out, this feature is now available. Right-click on the email from the list view and the last option on the dropdown is “Add Sender to Contacts”.

agree with this comment. when i want to add new contacts it is SO CUMBERSOME. cannot copy and paste either because when I click on the sender's email address the programme assumes that I want to reply to the email. Please sort this out. you had a good system before. please bring it back.

Cannot add email to contacts. Cannot right click to copy email. Switching back to "basic". Yahoo you are not listening. This has been going on for over a year.

WHEN OH WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PUT BACK THE FEATURE OF ADDING CONTACT INFORMATION FROM A RECEIVED EMAIL. THIS SHOULD BE A HIGH PRIORITY1111111

It's insane how difficult it is to add a contact. I should be able to hover over an email address or even right click it (whatever the case may be) and just choose to add to contacts and then immediately have a link to "Edit Contact", so I can add more information if I want. The fact that we even have to vote on this is preposterous. (Apologies this is a copy from below - Yahoo sucks so bad iand they NEVER listen; not worth the time to write something new)

YES. Why can't we do this? I'm tired of yahoo sending emails I've repeatedly marked as not spam back to my spam folder.
I would turn off my adblocker if yahoo wasn't so awful to use, btw

Need to simplify the process to add or copy a contact asap. Very time consuming to get a highlight on the contact name and then copy and switch to contacts to add. Can't even hover over the contact name and right click to copy. When trying to highlight it sometimes clicks on the contact to begin creating a new email. Very frustrating operation. Most other things with the new email seem to be working better....but not this.

This is becoming a DEAL BREAKER for me. It's ridiculous. 20 important emails went to my spam. I want them in my contacts to keep them from going to spam!

I don't want to automatically add every single contact in all of the emails I receive/send on a daily basis. I want to be able to continue, as in the old classic email format, to be able to hover over a contact in an email address line, whether it's one I sent or received, and click "add to contacts". I don't need every single contact added to my contact list.....and I have the paid version of mail pro and still do not have this ability.

Does anyone at Yahoo care what we want? This is one of many CRUCIAL features you have removed.
If you can't figure out how to provide these basic features, why don't you just put back the email system that mostly worked OK?
It is insane that there is no way to add a contact anymore from within reading mail.

Agree, this should be voted to #1. Maybe Yahoo only gives you this basic feature in Mail Pro now.

ABSOLUTELY! I don't want to turn on "automatically add senders to contacts." I want to add just the ones I want right when I receive the message, just like we used to.
Also want to add recipients to contacts for just one message, not automatically for everyone all the time. -

I agree! I subscribe to several email newsletters and in order to prevent them from going into spam, I would like to add those addresses to my contacts, but it is almost impossible to do so! I can't even copy the email address from the received email without going through a torturous process! This should not be this hard!

+1 on this. I just tried to do this in Yahoo Mail and discovered the feature was missing. seems rather basic and rudimentary to have this functionality and I'm rather surprised that it's missing.

This is so true. I HATE THE NEW YAHOO MAIL. You took away all the good features of the old one. I want to add contacts so they don't go to spam, but I don't want a new screen and then have to type everything and hope I am spelling it correctly. etc. IT IS DUMB!
