SENT EMAILS FOR SEVERAL YEARS HAVE SUDDENLY DISAPPEARED
CRITICAL ISSUE--> Since last couple of days I began noticing that all my Sent emails from Aug 13th, 2020 to way back 2006 have all disappeared out of the blue. I called Yahoo support talked to a Mary. She was polite but not helpful practically. Not only are these missing emails critical but I think there is a security breach (no way I will delete all my own emails way back to 2006!). Mary kept repeating the standard message that Yahoo can only restore up to 7 days of emails only... I tried to explain several levels of concern beyond unthinkable loss of 14 years of sent email but Mary had no answers or an escalation path to offer. BTW I have used less than 50% of the 1 TB space available so far.
YAHOO MANAGEMENT (REF issue# 04277812 provided by Mary ON Aug 24, 2020):
1) What happened? I would like to know when & how did this activity occur?
2) Since Mary was not able to shed any light on the activity of such an unusual deletion makes me suspect it is a security breach as well as Yahoo's monitoring inability and want to bring to attention immediately. Is Yahoo doing this?
3) Not only are those sent emails very important for me but please help me understand what has happened here (I only use firefox browser for my.yahoo.com) from home laptop. Since Mary has not offered a solution or the depth of my concern or an escalation path what is Yahoo's recommendation (or anyone else in the community who can help)?
I HAVE BEEN A YAHOO LOYALIST SINCE INCEPTION & THIS IS VERY DISCONCERTING UNLESS SOMEONE RATIONALIZES IT FOR ME TO BEGIN WITH BEFORE GLORIFYING THE "NEW EMAIL".
