    About to abandon my account, which I've had for over a decade. Seems the only logical explanation is what's been said by others: made your stuff worse to sell a service that does what the unpaid service should (and used to) already do. Yahoo needs to address it or go the way of the dodo, as it probably should have many moons ago. Way to go.

    I constantly get spam mail 6 to 8 per day. Improve the spam blocking filters.

    Piling onto all of the other comments, but it seems like the spam blocking feature has been disabled to encourage people to switch to Yahoo+. Spam filtering is a basic function of any email system, and shutting that off or lowering its threshold is a huge issue and directly impacts likelihood of continuing to use this product. There's no reason why Yahoo can't continue to monetize other premium aspects of upgraded email service, but spam filters should be included in the basic/free option.

    I AM AGAIN WRITING REGARDING THE HORRENDOUS AMOUNT OF SPAM THAT IS COMING INTO MY EMAILS. I HAVE WRITTEN SEVERAL FEEDBACKS IN THE LAST WEEK AND "SHAME ON YAHOO"!!! THE MORE FEEDBACKS I WRITE THE SPAMS ARE INCREASING! THIS TELLS ME THAT YOUR GETTING RID OF SPAM FOR US CUSTOMERS IS OF "ZERO" IMPORTANCE TO YOU. IN FACT, IT APPEARS THAT THE MORE WE TRY TO GET YOU TO INPROVE ON THIS, THE MORE YOU BACK AWAY AND ALLOW IT! DISGUSTING!!!!!! THE SEXUAL CONTENTS OF THE SPAMS SHOULD FLAG YAHOO TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SERIOUS ISSUE.... GET OFF YOUR BACK SIDES AND DO SOMETHING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    only problem is spam, i expect if I click spam on an e-mail I won't see it again but for the last several weeks I keep getting e-mails from Mcaffee and I click spam and I keep getting them. I am tired of being bothered by mcaffee.

    Was so sad that I found this only to find this problem is universal and not being addressed at all from what it seems. These are obvious scammers with insanely long email address. PLEASE, Yahoo, add a filter that sends email addresses with more than 20 characters to the Spam folder. Heck you could set it to 30 characters and it would catch 90% of this. It's unbelievable that this isn't being addressed and the reasons are getting smaller and smaller why we all shouldn't jump to Gmail.

    The spam filter is not working, Getting spam with names or topics that are obviously not from the sending email address. How many times can they send Norton or McAfee renewal notices that are not from Norton or McAfee and have the spam filter not catch them. Very Annoying. I'm marking email as spam about 15 times a day. and when ever I mark one as spam I always get about three immediately after from multiple email address but same topic.

    I found this forum specifically to complain about the exact same thing, and am shocked to find the same thing is happening to others. How does an email address that looks like this make it past your spam filter?:

    But this happens about 10 times per day. Every time a different address, but all look the same; a super-long chain of random characters followed by an at symbol, then more random characters, then org.uk. How about making everything that comes from any address with .org.uk spam?

    Can we add a block all email from random letters in email address. The spam email is fake and is random letters that are like 100 long. Easy filter to add. Block any email with random letters that are longer then x.

    Same here! Most of my emails end up in Spam, even contacts that have been sending me emails for years. It's really annoying because some of the emails are urgent and I only see them when I happen to check my Spam folder

    I can't believe that this is so hard to fix. Just roll it back to before the issue started and the flight it through rings.

    I'm not getting the majority of my emails from people that I need emails from, they're either going straight to spam or just not coming through altogether even though I've filtered them to come through straight to my inbox AND marked them as not spam. That stupid not spam button does nothing. How is this so difficult to fix?

    Emails, totally legit, end up in the spam folder. This is frustrating because some of them if not all, are very important. The "not spam" choice does not work, totally useless.

    E-mails from my wife suddenly end up in spam all the time despite months/years of historical correspondence. Responses to previous messages (same subject with Re:) from my wife also end up in spam. wtf? There is something seriously wrong with your incoming e-mail processing for the past 4-5 weeks. "Not Spam" or "Restore to inbox" buttons do nothing. Next time, it's always in spam again!

    A few emails every week have ended up in my spam folder for the past couple of months. This has been very frustrating with school as the emails have been quite legit, pretty important, and from sources not typically flagged as spam.

    HOW MANY OF THESE ANGRY COMMENTS DOES A CUSTOMER LIKE ME HAVE TO DO ON THIS FEEDBACK BEFORE YOU WILL READ THEM AND DO SOMETHING!
