Emails from years ago have been deleted because I didn't access my account in the last 12 months. I received NO warning for this in my backup email address. Admittedly, it's been many years since I touched my Yahoo email, but I'm extremely disappointed that I couldn't save some precious memories. For people who were using their Yahoo email for business, the consequences could be a lot worse. Do better, Yahoo.

Hi Kiera, thanks for the feedback. Yes, if there's no activity for over 365 days, we do close out the account, but we do email the alternative email many times, so it's important to check the alternative email account. There is definitely still hope! We recommend contacting our Customer Care team at help.yahoo.com. They have the tools to help!
