opening my account is unavailable
My husband and I each have our own yahoo accounts. For the past week, Yahoo has NOT allowed him to sign into his account, and the "system" wants some sort of TEXT communication in order for the situation to be corrected. We are both in our 80s (I'll be 90 shortly), and we never go anywhere. So in order to quickly be able to answer phone calls, we have a landline (with 7 phones). There is a phone in every room of the house except the bathroom and shower. We have given up cell phones. There is no smart phone, no flip phone, no mobile phone of any sort. So now the darn system wants us to text, twitter, or tweet some stupid code. Landlines do not text, twitter, not tweet. And he remains locked out of his account. This morning the system began sending me the same useless message when I opened my account to send an email to my daughter. i.e. There is a problem. Do I wish to address it now?
NO. There is no problem except you seem to be able to control everyone's account. There is one solution. There is a phone number we can call, and the first and only thing the phone number states is that we should provide a charge card. NOW I GET IT. This is legalized "ransomware".
