NO MORE POP-UPs!
WTF - why must you keep doing stupid pop-ups.
This product just gets worse and more aggravating. It feels like someone who has never used email is driving your development.

Provide a filter to allow sorting inbox by sender; this would allow for faster deletion of junk
Currently there is no filter to allow for sorting email by sender. Why is that? Not sure. but it needs to be added.
HI Lane Smith, yes you can certainly sort by sender. Just like the old version, you need to disable Conversation view under Settings and then you'll see Sender Name as a sorting option. Thanks!

I need all the ways I was able to sort my mail, especially when I am looking for a particular email. Please stop making things "HARDER" for me.
We did not take any sorting capabilities away. Just like the old version, you need to disable Conversation view under your Settings. You cannot sort in certain ways when Conversation is enabled. Once this is disabled, you'll see more sorting options including Sender Name.

from the inbox i select a number of old emails to delete but there is no delete button
Hi Michael, if you're clicking on the checkboxes to select the emails to delete, you'll see some icons appear at the top of your Inbox. One of them being the trash icon. Hope this helps!

ADD THE OPTION TO SEARCH E-MAIL ALPHABETICALLY BY SENDER PLEASE! The option used to be available prior to the last update. It makes it a lot easier to scan and delete mail. Example: sort A-Z the mail gets sorted by sender. The first item to come up is Allstate. I have 25 messages from Allstate, I can click and delete all of them at one time.
Currently I have to scan each sender individually and check off for deletion. This process is EXTREMELY TIME CONSUMING. I appreciate your assistanc in this matter.

Why do you allow adds the could confuse your email subscribers?

Simplify
Hello, can "Classic" Yahoo be restored? The new reader is too sluggish, too cluttered, and does not easily show actual sender email address without viewing the raw email.
Unfortunately, there's no reverting back, Steve. Very sorry! We are only making the new one better and will eventually EOL the old version. We really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance. Thanks!

the ability to remove ads
Can we find a way to remove ads for gambling? Recovering gambler that just wants to open my email without ads for something banned in my state and something a lot of us struggle with. I am not asking you to remove them completely but just an option to turn off ads for things that are an addiction problem.
Yes, we do have a few ads in our app, but we also offer an ad-free experience (like many apps today) if you upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus, but of course it's not mandatory. We will also share your feedback with the right team. Thanks.

I cant sort by who email from anymore under this new version. You suck. If I can still do it I cant figure it out because of your sloppy interface navigation.
Hi Steve, it's actually just like the old version. So we didn't change anything with sort by sender. Like the old version, you need to disable Conversation view under your Settings. Once you do that, you will see Sender Name as a sorting option.

There needs to be a "Select All" check box on the inbox.
Hi there, we do have a "Select All" and then "Delete All" on Yahoo Mail. Just click on any checkbox and a checkbox will appear at the very top. From there you can Select All. Thanks.

Put SENDER back!! I like to sort my emails from SENDER
When I checking or deleting my emails I prefer to sort by FROM SENDER. With the new YAHOO I cant!!!!!

Stop the streaks and AI ****
I don't want the dumb streaks and the stupid AI ****. Please let me opt out of it. I don't want it. I'm an adult and can manage my email without any additional help. Stop dumbing down and gamifying email.
Yes, we launched a fun way to reward our users for reading and organizing your emails, but you do not have to participate (not forced). Friendly reminder to always check your Settings. You can disable Streaks by going to the three dots "..." in the left hand navigation and then Your Streaks. Thanks.

Problems with spam emails infiltraiting the inbox
Please implement measures to prevent spam emails from infiltrating the system, as they nearly caused my computer to crash, resulting in a freeze that lasted for more than eight hours.
Please make sure you are marking these emails as spam instead of just deleting. Also, if they are newsletters please make sure you unsubscribe from these. We will also share this with our anti-spam team. Thank you!

Return side email unread count to the side and give an option to remove achievements
I will continue to send in the suggestion to once more let me see my unread email count without having to hover over something like it USED to be. I also need a way to turn off these challenges and streaks and achievements. I don't need to make a game out of my email, I just want to use my email effectively.
- Expand the left hand navigation and you'll see the under of Unread messages without hovering.
- Reminder to always check your Settings. You can disable Streaks by going to More > Your Streaks.

Disable Challenges
I just logged in to check my email and some new 7 day challenge popped up. There seems to be no way to disable this. I want to turn them off.
The Back to School challenge is only opt-in. So you should only see this once and if dismissed, you won't see it again. So there is nothing to disable!
For "Streaks" you can certainly disable that by going to the left hand navigation: More > Your Streaks.

Remove the ads from between email messages.
Put the ads in their own section. Having them above or in between each email is confusing. I find the new email design to be difficult to use. I preferred the option to go back to the previous format. I no longer have that choice and it's very frustrating to use my emails now.

Hi Brandy, you can still see the number of Unread messages!
You can hover your mouse over Inbox, in the left hand navigation, and the number will appear.
Or you can expand the left hand navigation, and you'll see the number of unread permantely there without hovering.
