Dear Madam or Sir, many years ago I have suggested buttons for moving up and down trough emails, and now I have a problem. I have mistakenly went to basic version of mailbox interface. And I have regretted dearly with no option to return to "blue version" of mailbox interface. So could you please get me back to that blue version of mailbox interface? It makes good to my eye vision. Looking forward to hear from you, Dejan Vukovic

I strongly prefer the old desktop-style Yahoo Mail on Chrome (or any Chromium browser).
The former layout was vastly superior: intuitive, powerful, and built for real desktop use.
- Clean list layout
- Proper tabs for multitasking
- Dynamic message preview that actually worksThe left sidebar was logical and rock-solid:
Inbox • Unread • Starred • Drafts • Sent • Archive • Spam • Trash
Views • Photos • Documents • Subscriptions • Travel
FoldersEverything exactly where it belonged — instantly findable, no hunting required.
The new Yahoo Mail is a blatant mobile phone interface shoehorned onto desktop.
It makes zero sense for large screens.
Desktop and mobile deserve separate, platform‑optimized designs
and not this one-size-fits-all mobile clone forced on everyone. This reeks of internal laziness or cost-cutting, not user-focused improvement.
On browser specifically Chrome/Chromium specifically:
- Unread messages in categorized folders no longer appear in the main Unread view.
Only inbox unreads show up now.
→ Completely broken behavior.
→ Important emails vanish into obscurity.- Sort preference (Newest first / Unread first) is never remembered.
Browser refresh?
Gone. Every single time I have to re-click it.
Maddening. The new version is objectively clunkier, and far less efficient
for anyone doing serious email work on desktop.Yahoo claims it helps you “see priority emails faster.”
That's marketing nonsense the layout is clearly copied
from smartphones, not designed for computers. They rolled this out without real user testing or consent,
then bombarded everyone with aggressive pop-ups and nudges to switch. The old/former desktop version was better in every practical way.
Bring it back permanently or at least
make the switch OPTIONAL.
NO constant harassment, please! Many longtime users feel the same: this change is driving people away.
Fix it. -

I prefer the desktop-style Yahoo Mail
for use on a personal computer or MacBook.
The older layout was far more practical
for desktop users because it supported:- List layout
- Multiple tabs for multitasking
- dynamic message contentThe left‑side navigation in the old version was clean, p
redictable, and easy to use.
It followed this order:- Inbox
- Unread
- Starred
- Drafts
- Sent
- Archive
- Spam
- Deleted Items
-
- Photos
- Documents
- Subscriptions
- Travel
- FoldersThe New Yahoo Mail interface looks like a
Smart MOBILE PHONE Lay-out, which
does NOT make sense for desktop users.Desktop and mobile should have
two different designs, optimised for their platforms. This change feels like it was made
for internal convenience rather than user experience. For example, Yahoo promotes the new design as
making it “easier to unsubscribe,”
but unsubscribing was already easy in the old version. The promotional message
“See priority emails faster” and “One place for timely messages”
looks good, but the interface itself is clearly built for smartphones,
not desktop computers.Another concern is that users were NOT ASKED for INPUT
until the change was already happening. You encourage us to “try the new version,”
yet at the same time push it aggressively with
constant pop‑ups that interrupt the experience. -

In the old yahoo mail, I could click on the bin icon next to SPAM, and it would delete all the spam messages at once. In the new version of mail just released, it has been removed, so I need to manually select and add them all in.
It would be great if we could delete all the spam messages (after checking the spam box) with one click like before. -

I really loved the ability to do a bit of customization of the colours for old Yahoo. I really miss this and is probably the reason I am reluctant to use the new format. Why only black and white??? Yahoo, you use to be so fun

I changed my password to whatever the **** I wanted it to be by changing my password 5 times in a row. It was telling me that I could not change my password to an old or similar password. So, I found a work around. Go **** yourself Yahoo. Also, I could not contact customer support.. Again, go **** yourself. sincerely, GO **** YOURSELF.

The visual look of new Yahoo mail is an average. The problem is that in light theme, the emails list is somehow so "big". And in black theme, please add an option that despite the whole theme is black/dark, the email content stays white.

Where is the send button when you put a new email together. I had no notification that emails were going to be updated so had a panic attack when the mailbox would not allow me to sign in for 12 hours
