1, I still get emails where part of the message / graphics are hidden behind the vertical add banner with no way to see the entire email. The slider at the bottom doesn't allow the whole email to be seen or screen captured as one and there is currently no way to slide the banner to one side, as was possible previously. This is a step backwards and offers users less functionality.
2. Previously, I could star and mark as unread, multiple emails simply by selecting them in the left side menu. This made more urgent emails or ones I still had unfinished business, easier to identify. With the new version, the star option can only be selected by first selecting an email and then applying the star from the icon menu for that email, then marking as unread, then returning to the next email and repeating the process - all this takes longer and offers users less functionality compared to the previous interface which was better.
3. Instead of having add banners that take up valuable screen space, include a button somewhere that says something like :"pick here to view the adds" and that way those who want to spend their time looking at the adds can do so leaving others who don't an uninterrupted screen space.
4. Don't allow auto-play animated adds. This is using my internet allowance - is there a way to back charge Yahoo for this?
5. The previous interface displayed the date and time of emails in the left column without having to select an email - now only the date is shown. Can there be user options to display date and time format.
