I've had it with Yahoo censoring comments that don't come close to violating their rules. I sent someone a message that read "What's your point?" because I couldn't understand what their message was about. It was deleted by Yahoo because it violated their rules?

On top of that I never received any emails to that affect probably because someone at Yahoo is doing this deliberately and covering their tracks.

Nope, no more I'm out of here after I change my email address from Yahoo to my business server.

    "What's wrong with this statement?

    "And your point is?"

I was asking because the comment I replied to wasn't clear. I was watching in real time comments being deleted by someone on your end. Yahoo claims they don't censor but they absolutely do or they have people on the payroll who are taking it upon themselves to support "THEIR" presidential candidate.

    I can't use the word "savage" in a non derogatory way, but you can use the phrase in your research and reporting, I quote;

De Niro — who has previously called Trump “so ******* stupid,” “a ******* moron,” “evil” and a con man— described the presumptive GOP presidential nominee as “genuinely a sick person who somehow has been allowed into our system.”

What's good for the goose IS NOT good for the gander?

Hello. While we cannot speak about specific comments, policy interpretations, or actions action in relation to specific comments outside of with their original poster, we seek to apply the Yahoo Community Guidelines as evenly, fairly, and objectively as possible.

All I said was "David, quick wake up.. you're having a nightmare" to add a little levity to his comment and it gets rejected? I once mentioned the name Enola G-- in an article about aircraft.

Even though I'm referring to a historic aircraft, I can't mention the second half of the name because Yahoo finds it offensive?

Why in the world would my comment over this be placed on hold?

"Ok, I was a Crew Chief in the Air Force. Worked on F-4D, F-16, C-130 and C-141's. In civilian life I was a private pilot for 21 years until health issues intervened.

With each new variant came upgraded systems. Otherwise what's the purpose of a new variant?"

There is a definite over-reach going on. I've posted your emojis and had the same thing happen. Your AI or whatever you're using is interfering with legitimate posting.

There's a double standard at play.

Yahoo can post a headline using the "F" word minus the 2 middle letters as well as other terminology, but when we do it, it's considered offensive.

It seems free speech is okay for Yahoo but not the general public.

I state a historical fact and speak out regarding questionable tactic that Republicans use. My reward is that my message is deleted. Seems to me that free speech is not free when you must first pass muster on Yahoo. Understandably Yahoo should ban swearing and hate, but I've witnessed Yahoo articles with the same veracity as some comments, yet Yahoo doesn't censor itself, only its users.

If there is something specific that is not acceptable, it should be specified to the author so its not duplicated. To say go look at our rules is a catchall response that neither points out the error or educates the user.

Certain emojis are considered unacceptable like 😵‍💫. You can also post with civil acceptable language anywhere on the internet, but not on Yahoo.

    I'm done, deleting my account.
Yahoo is now deleting 2 month old posts and taking almost as long to approve some.

I'm sick and tired of taking time to reply to comments/articles only to have them deleted because it goes against someone's opinion, not the community guidelines.

Yahoo put out a guideline of what is or is not acceptable. Has Yahoo ever proofread articles from other sources? Many of them use swear words that would get me banned for life.

"Poke Trump with a stick and see how high he jumps." Don't know what's wrong with the comment but Yahoo won't let me post it. Buh-Bye! I'm out of here.

The message below was rejected due to community guidelines. What is offensive in my message? I was posting an opinion about a lawsuit involving a movie studio.

" The complainant is griping about a 55 year old movie? Has he seen movie and award reviews lately? 😝 "

Unless people know what is offensive they're doomed to repeat the offense. I see nothing offensive here!

Why is this reply to gun issues required to be approved? To me this is censorship and a violation of my right to free speech. You can post pictures of nudity, imply 4 letter words but I can't reply about an article about gun control. Time to look for another venue.

"We need to quit candy coating this issue and get some real lawmakers on our side who are willing to do something, not a bunch of "politicians" who only make senseless speech's and do absolutely nothing.

Yes, mental health is part of the issue, but the lack of gun control plays a huge part in this problem."

Gathering feedback since July of 2022. You would think that by now Yahoo would have an answer.

I discovered it is a browser issue. I had the same problem. I use Chrome on Yahoo and if you give the system a moment, it will locate the message in question and allow you to reply.

Be certain you make Chrome the primary browser for this to work.
