Thanks for your feedback.
Player position eligibility for the current season is determined based on their usage from the previous season. If a player started 5 MLB games or made 10 appearances at a position, they will earn that position.
In 2025, Rice started 26 games at catcher; therefore, he was given C eligibility heading into the 2026 season. Positions are not removed during the season. His positional eligibility will be reviewed prior to the next fantasy season.
