[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.

Hello. We used the message board to post our weekly recaps summarizing how the teams in our league performed. This was an important tradition in our league. Is there another tool that will allow us to do that?

Bring back message board. It was crucial for league money breakdowns and announcements. I can't even access the chat from desktop.

I have a live draft starting in 7 minutes and nobody can enter the lobby...so the updates are not good. HELP!

Our league draft is supposed to start in 10 minutes and no one can access the draft room

How are slow drafts now to be handled? We don't want to leave for other platforms after all these years with Yahoo? In one league the commish is making everyone a co-commish to keep it better organized. But it's a workaround. Other easy to use ideas?

This is nonsense. Might be time to leave Yahoo and go with someone else

If you're going to force us to an inferior option, then at least make it, you know, work?
On the iOS app, on my League's home page, if I tap the League Chat button on top, it takes me to the chat.... and there's literally no button or arrow to allow me to go back to the previous page, so I have to force close the app and reopen it. Great job, Yahoo!

We ended up moving out chats to GroupMe. Yahoo needs to make a good amount of improvements to stay competitive and retain their user base.

I gave my initial feedback without "Playing around" with the new chat format.
I learned how to pin a chat, but that has little value unless you can title the thread. The next step beyond that would be able to do a search to find that title.
I'm sorry to say, but even if that were in place, that is still a downgrade from the previous message board.
I do not like the fact that you can not get to the next line by hitting 'enter" button. Enter sends the entire message.I'll keep playing around a little bit, but I am also for the first time in 10 years looking at other sites to host our league. I'd hate to lose all the historical data, record books.
I've read on multiple responses from Yahoo, that Message Board is no longer supported. I'm starting to believe you. Not to be over dramatic, but that very well may be the reason for leaving this site.
My advise is: find a way to make it happen! Bring back the message board! Then make that better- have polls, have ability to edit messages- use bold or italics. -

What a crock of @#$%!!!!! Message boards are integral to fantasy sports. What conceivable reason could you have for removing them? What kind of censorship is this? Absolutely ridiculous. One more thing ruined by the progressive movement.

Ridiculous!
Baseball league switched to Fantrax
Message boards are vital to league.
Chat system is a joke.
Been W/Yahoo forever now need to look else where.
Who ever decided on this should be fired -

Trash idea. We use the message board as our #1 communication tool for our dynasty league. Same for baseball, but all the posts in this thread didn't matter for baseball, doesn't matter for football. They don't care.

We have used the message board to discuss rule changes, weekly recaps, use for historical records, take a poll/voting. I love to reference this. Every year I go back to it, cut and paste our Keeper Rules for example.
Please reconsider bringing it back.

Why must this be either/or??!! Communication is at the core of these leagues. You just took one away. Maybe you should/have to do this for public leagues given the vile comments I"ve seen there. But NO reason to eliminate for private leagues. This reduces communication. And forcing me as commissioner, at request of the league, to look at other sites for our league...after 21 years on yahoo. Sux. We used the message board for voting on rule changes, tracking details of trades, recording for prospective rule changes for next year, historical context, among other things. Who the heck does Yahoo talk to in making these decisions?? Certainly not league commissioners. Very unsettling. I have not used Fantrax but some of the comments here sound good. I guess I will need to review.

DUMB IDEA! Our league uses the mesg board for league updates and reminders for FUTURE and PAST seasons and other various reasons! So much that this most likely will force us to find a competitors site!
IF ITS NOT BROKE DONT FIX IT! Hard to believe people actually get paid to come up with these dumb ideas! Don't change for the sake of change! And if you have a hidden agenda for doing so...SHAME ON YOU! -

Absolutely terrible.. why would you do such a dumb thing...

One of the stupidest decisions along with Bud Light and Target. My Owners are having a great season of MLB Fantasy at FleaFlicker. With all of the money gained by Fantrax from this dumb decision they have improved their site. It's impressive and I plan on moving my Football Leagues there. I don't know why anyone would be loyal to a left leaning business like Yahoo who stifles free speech they don't like. Good riddens!

I cannot overstate how absolutely crucial the message boards were to all my fantasy leagues on Yahoo. I am extremely unhappy about this decision, and I have a feeling that most of my league mates will feel the same way. To me, the chat function and the league message board had two completely different purposes. The chat function was more for keeping in touch and maybe trash talking. The league message board was essential for communicating critical league business. Anytime we considered any changes to statistics or the overall set-up of the league we would use the message board. A perfect example where the message board helped to solve a major problem was last season when the game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals ended up being cancelled due to the serious injury to Damar Hamlin. It happened during the fantasy playoffs and the message board was pivotal in determining a solution. I suppose we will be able to achieve the same type of communication with the chat function, but I'm afraid that it just won't be the same. I implore you to change your minds and please bring the message boards back. Thank you!
