[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.

I will concur that my league absolutely wants the messages back on the main league page the way they were.

Bring back the message board where people could post a topic and write messages. The only way to post something is in the 'League chat' section, where chats get absolutely lost amidst all transactions. I know you can filter out by clicking 'league chat' but it is difficult to find and no one ever uses it in my league. My league used to be so interactive and vocal, and now it is dead because you took message board away. Why was this feature ever taken away? Doesn't make sense.

During our trade deadline (last week); we had problems keeping track of trades... this is because Yahoo has eliminated message boards. With members debating the merits of a trade on chat; other trades would get lost. Message boards made it clear and easy to get votes for trades.

Please bring back group message boards. Our league likes them. I use them to do write-ups of how the match-ups went each week. Personally, it helps me follow things in the league. The league members like ready the weekly posts.

Please bring back the CHAT feature on Mock Drafts. I used to recruit people from the Mock drafts to play in my cash leagues on Yahoo. I still have 3 people in my current league from the Mock drafts when you had the Chat feature. I need the CHAT feature brought back because I need more people to play in my leagues.

Many of us don't primarily use our phones, so the lack of a message board or a desktop chat function is really crippling for league communication. Early in the football season (and during last year's baseball season), that desktop chat function served as an inferior replacement for the message board. But now that has gone away too and it's really taken a lot of the fun out of these leagues. Make it better for next year or I suspect you're going to lost lots of folks.

Every transaction is posted in it. The message board was a great way to communicate as any message was listed on the main page. I know you can email.

1) you got rid of smack talk (all our managers loved it) 2) then you made it harder find league notes with important info - like where are we meeting for our offline draft? 3) now we can't even leave a note (couldn't congratulate the league winner) 3 strikes!! i will see how this new system works in my friends baseball league and if it is not real good we will be playing elsewhere next year

Hi Jeff from Yahoo,
Our Yahoo Fantasy Football League is now 22 years old.
We used the message board to make important announcements, show our draft order, and also to show a summary of the championship game and announce the winner.
This year I posted it in the Commissioner's note, but only the Commissioner can access that and not all league members. Please take a look at our league homepage and check out my Commissioner Note. Maybe there is a way for Yahoo to improve their Chat options for next year.
I really hope you bring back the message board.
Thank you,
Team - LT Express

We often post league newsletters, power rankings, and end of year awards, which are all way too long to have on the little chat app. We opened a slack channel this year for it, but those disappear after 90 days so there's no historical data if I wanted to look at past years, which has been one of the best things about Yahoo. This is 100% a change for the worse. The experiment has failed. Bring back message boards.

Why Message Board is better than League Chat -1) Message Board coudl be viewed from the main "League" page while League Chat requires two clicks to open it up (out of site, out of mind). 2) Message Board was not cluttered up with the adds and drops of players. I know this can be filtered out, but again, it requires an additonal click that people don't like to do. 3) Message Board more user friendly (could see the topic and number of responses easily while League Chat is not easy to see topics and if responses are to the topic, and people can't easily see how to respond specifically to a post and then navigate back to it. 4) 90% less posts this year with the League Chat vs the Message Board.

I'm not happy about removal of this feature, period. Full stop. I will switch platforms if it is not restored for 2024.

The message board feature was and is a critical feature of Yahoo Fantasy. The new League Chat setup is a failure when it comes to discussing specific topics in a league and having multiple discussions at once. If i wanted to send a text message to my league I’ll do it on my cell phone…I don’t need yahoo to facilitate sms-style chats for me. Please return the discussion boards asap!!!

Put the Fantasy Hockey message board back. Our league is a ghost town now. What was an interactive experience is now boring. You'r killing it.

Please bring back message boards, the league chat is a failure and it has been extremely difficult to keep the league connected this year on important topics.

This is an idiotic decision, even for Yahoo. How do you decide to make a call like this midway through the year? In addition to the banter the message boards allow (which is 1/2 the fun in many leagues, including mine), we also have used this as a communication method.
Also interesting that what was posted on our league thread was the message board was just "down". Here is sounds like a permanent decision.
I hope whatever bureaucrat thought this was a good idea rethinks the decision. Otherwise I will take my leagues to another platform.

Yahoo keeps destroying all that made this FUN -- and special. We've had a group on here for 23 YEARS and Yahoo steadily whittles down any interaction.

Maybe the league chat is temporarily down because it will be replaced by the overwhelmingly preferred message board for the remainder of the season. Please, Yahoo!, do the right thing.

As a faithful and annual Yahoo fantasy player since 2001, please bring back the message board access through laptops. As you assess this decision, reviewing the messages below clearly indicates our desire for you to restore this feature.
As fantasy players can attest, especially in historic leagues, the message board is among the most powerful assets in fantasy sports enjoyment. It's hard to understate this.
We have been continually disappointed with the message board adjustments, and then just within the last week, the entire message board has been completely removed from the laptop version. Why? And why no forwarning or appartent beta-testing to gain user feedback?
The two best features of Yahoo Fantasy are the message board and access to past leagues' data. Taking away the message board is having our league (ongoing since 2008) strongly consider moving to your competition. Please restate the message board to laptop access.
