Please fix the search bar misfire
I think many of us using Yahoo Finance has the experience of typing a stock/fund and pressing enter and going into the wrong instrument despite typing it correctly. It seems to me that the search bar of Yahoo Finance may not react fast enough to catch up with the typing (if you type slowly, or wait a little bit after you finish typing, this is usually not an issue). But since this problem is so prevalent and causes a lot of confusion, I am surprised it has not been fixed.
There are several instances when my friend and I searched something in Yahoo finance only to realize after a while that we are on the wrong page because the search bar didn't take the input. Is it possible to fix this issue?

Thank you for flagging for this behaviour in the search bar! It should be fixed now.
Please let us know if you still see any issue.
Thank you,
Yahoo Finance team

When you search for a stock symbol on the Yahoo Finance Home it pulls up a list of suggestions and highlights the suggestion that is closest to your search. But most of the time the suggestions come up too slow (or do not come up at all)... the suggestions first start with what appears to be "trending suggestions" totally unrelated to what you type in the search... The natural tendancy is to press the search button after a moment of waiting with the hope that whatever was typed in to the search box would be searched for, but most of the time, the search input is ignored and the first trending suggestion is searched for. So it ends up bringing up a stock unrelated to what you were searching for.
In summary, when you search for a stock symbol, the trending suggestions usually come up as the search result, making the search box not functional. It has been this way for a long time and I am surprised you guys have never fixed it.
