Why would you remove the Major stock indexes from the Finance home page for the ones that are there now.
Why would you remove the Major stock indexes from the Finance home page for the ones that are there now. Never heard of the indexes you now list and if I did know them I would not be looking ffor them on your Finance home page for them.
Thank you all for the heads up. This was an unintentional change and has been reverted.

Was hoping someone would be working over the weekend to put things back the way they were. 😫 Might have to try google finance.

Changing the market names to symbols. Very disorienting.

Just moved to google finance, should of given users a choice. Twenty-plus years, and you just change it? I know what the symbols stand for, just liked it with the names.
Better tell your advertisers why number of clicks to yahoo finance is going way down. -

Me too! Moving to Google Finance. I don't like the "new" labeling for the Dow Nasq etc..

Please provide option to display market names (as before) DJIA, S&P, NASDAQ, etc. rather than tickers. I don't know the tickers well enough to know what I'm looking at. Thanks.

Why oh Why do you make communication more difficult? NO ONE I know understands these stock index symbols!

I went over to google finance as someone suggested. Is there a way to make a portfolio at google or just watch lists?

Lots of folks have the same comment about display of the indexes, but nothing has changed. Is anyone with the ability to correct problems like this listening, or are we all just talking to ourselves??????

Basic data is ok..please change back the display for market indices, futures etc. OR provide an option to use symbol or name
or we can go here https://www.google.com/finance/ I guess

Just spent 30 mins trying to work out how to "fix" this. Glad Im not the only one. Please change it back. Current naming is ridiculous.

Switching to the symbols for the major indices instead of displaying the names was a dumb idea. Please switch it back. As you can see by the comments, your losing customers because you did this. The average guy doesn't recognize these symbols and what they stand for, whereas experienced investors already know the symbols for the indices. And yet, when a person clicks to a Yahoo finance article, the indices are displayed by name, not symbols. Switching back will at least keep you consistent.

Please fix the mistakes with the names of the indexes. it's so annoying that I've switched over to Google finance but I'd like to use Yahoo again.

The primary reason I look at the Finance home page is to get a quick look at the days market indexes. Without them being listed first I will go somewhere else for that info. Please bring the Major indexes back or allow people to select what they see on this dashboard.

The market indexes are spelled wrongly on the Finance home page. Please correct that!

...and the answer is.....? Where are the UIX guys?
hmmm, this problem is a real irritation.... I would rather just delete that real-estate hogging display-box at the top of the screen. Anyone know how to suppress it?

All of a sudden my display switched to mini-futures.....E=SP....like the above example, I prefer DJIA, S&P, NASDAQ etc.....I can't find any way to switch back

Do we have to get rid of our Verizon phones, join T or T-Mobile and goto Bing to get thru to you?
