Doesn't work with Chromium
Tried it with Linux Chromium. Emails have 200 lines of gibberish code in them when I forward or respond to an email. Going back to basic mail makes no difference, no selection for reverting back. A page popped up and said I had to update my browser, I chose no and to continue with yahoo classic mail, but it looks and acts very differently. It doesn't revert to classic or basic or anything. Now I have to install firefox just to compose emails properly (installing last stable version of Chrome didn't work on my system). So Chromium maybe needs to fix this or maybe yahoo does? Also, with Firefox, this new yahoo mail is slower than molasses! Absolutely sucks guys. Why fool with it if it works? Now it doesn't work!

First comments date from July, it's now september and it still doesn't work! Get you act together, Yahoo, or face 1000s of users leaving. I am already on the lookout, and my mailing lists with me. (100+ users)

I am having to use the chromium inspector>tools>network conditions>uncheck select automatically and choose windows chrome.
and of course chromium works perfectly fine with the new mail... because ....its just open source chrome.

How about you make your new mail app work with all browsers? I use Vivaldi and sometimes Chromium, both of which are based on Google's Chrome browser. However, when I try to access yahoo mail, I am unable to because you won't let me get there with anything other than Firefox, Google Chrome or IE. NOT COOL. Make it work with everything, it's not hard.
Your link to try "later" doesn't work.

As a workaround, install the attachment in the link and then create a new rule (override user agent). And ta ta!

This is really important for Linux Users.
Chromium is basically Chrome, what reason to block it?
Thank You.

For me, it doesn't start at all with Iron Browser Version 58.0.3050.0, which is pretty recent as Chromium forks go. It just gives me three icons to "upgrade" to the latest versions of FF, Chrome & IE. It also gives me a choice to "Continue using Classic Mail," which fails to do anything when I click it. I think it is far to stringent in detecting a "modern" browser.

Yahoo mail doesn't recognise the newest Chromium as an updated browser and won't allow "continue with Classic mail" either. For at least two weeks in July, the same thing was happening with Firefox. This is idiotic. Stop the stupid version checking, because you clearly can't keep up. Some version of Yahoo mail should open and work as slowly as it ever did if it weren't for this.

I have Iron Browser Version 58.0.3050.0; which is not terribly out of date as Chromium forks go. However, once I decided to try the new email, I got only a screen inviting me to upgrade my browser by directing me to one of three download sites. This IS the latest of theis browser! I can get it to work on FF55 Beta (which seems much improved, FWIW), but I'll have to forego new version of Yahoo Mail, if I want to use it on Iron Browser.

I use Yandex browser. It based on Chromium. The new email client forces me to upgrade, but I want to use Yandex. Please add the browser supported. It uses all chromium features (the same like chrome)

New yahoo mail doesn't recognise Chromium as a modern browser. Please rectify.
