Top Results
Kill Top Results for all the reasons stated in the other comments. I'm posting the very same issue because It seems I couldn't vote for more than one comment and someone has to drive this point home so that you understand that "Top Results" does not enhance your email product at all. Email users are capable of determining for themselves what incoming mail is "top" to them. Don't flatter yourself - you have no idea.

Yahoo does this thing when you do any searches through your email on an iphone where they posted the results but they will put the top 2 or 3 search results at the top and deem them "Top results"
I just want the results, ordered chronologically like usual.
Top results make the search results confusing.

I also find the "Top Results" section confusing. I often use a sender or subject search to find older blog digests, political emails, etc, and delete them if I don't have time to read them, so having a random selection of emails at the top is not helpful. If you are not inclined to eliminate this function, could you please give us the users one of the following options:
1) Give us the option to turn it off, or
2) Give us the option to decide for ourselves the criteria for what is shown as "Top Results"Thank you.
