Yahoo Messenger not working

Yahoo Messenger for my ID is not working. It states "Connection Lost, Retrying" despite connected to the Internet. Please resolve the issue.

    My messenger does the same thing I have not been able to log on.

    Yahoo messenger is a p.o.s. as far as software goes. It simply will not connect, even though Yahoo email works, which means the connection is good. Junk.
