How can we improve New Mail?

This may be my new system, but I can't download pictures in the format they've been sent.

Suddenly I can't download pictures in the format in which they were sent. For instance, pics sent in .jpeg are showing up as Webpage or Webpage HTML. I need them in .jpeg, as sent.
