How can we improve New Mail?

I am using Chrome on Mac OS 10.11.6 to access Yahoo Mail. I am not able to see the most recent mail in the inbox. When a new mail comes in, I see the one that was not visible before - but now the newest mail is not visible. In its place, I see a blank space.
