Under settings/more settings/viewing email, you can "After Moving a Message" to do the following: Go Back to Original Folder, Show Previous Message, Show Next message.
As of two days ago, it doesn't matter what option I select, if I move an email, it sends me back to the inbox. This was one of the only features that kept me on Yahoo instead of Gmail. Please fix.
