after I drag/drop a file into a draft email, much of the interface disappears off the screen
... to the top and cannot be recovered. The top of the scroll bar is missing, and so are the links to the first few mail folders, the header... the whole top part of the email interface. And the bottom of the screen is white/blank. Only sending or abandoning the draft will bring the whole interface back on view.
