How can we improve New Mail?

Truly DELETE outdate contacts

PLEASE find a way to prevent this problem:

Deleted outdated email addresses still pop up when name entered in 'TO' line -- annoying, as when I sometimes choose the 'deleted' one in error, confusion results. "DELETED" should mean it's GONE!!
