I mistakenly marked an e-mail as Spam
I accidently marked an e-mail as Spam and it wasn't Spam. What can I do? I want to keep receiving those e-mails and I'm afraid I won't now. Please help!!!

The best way to resolve this is to mark the emails as “Not Spam”, that way you can train the spam filter to better identify important emails in the future. Also if you use a mobile device or email client to access your mail over IMAP, please check the Spam filters in that application, to make sure it’s not marking important emails as spam.

I'm repeating from other users, but the spam filter has gone crazy. Even if I mark an email as not spam sending it to my inbox, it goes back into the spam folder 5-10 minutes later. I'd say 90% of my emails go into the spam folder. I think it happened since a recent update. Any ideas how to fix this?

I've been trying for months to get my bill to go to my inbox, but its going into bulk mail. I cannot access bulk mail from my phone at all. I've already added them to my contact list, how can I get it to go to the inbox?

since you're forced 'update', things are going to spam that don't belong there, I have one contact in particular that I email every day, for years, and she was in spam, and one friend, one of her messages made it to me, the next did not... now I have to look at every spam message anyways, so what's the point of having it? And I also wonder what important message I have missed... there is so much wrong with this email now, that used to be fine, I'm considering dumping yahoo all together... I'd also love an explanation as to why all these complaints go unanswered... or not addressed...

Seriously, I have marked important emails as NOT SPAM so many times I cannot keep count any more. Yet, every time I login, I am required to check the spam folder as there is no indication next to it that there are new emails. And, each time, I find that emails from one important address have magically been moved there without my approval. So, I mark them all as not spam. And they then magically move back to the spam folder from my inbox. I find it interesting that all conversation threads regarding this topic have consistently been closed for over 3 years now with direction to ridiculous and unhelpful links about nothing relevant but no resolution from Yahoo. I have been using Yahoo since 2000 and I think it is time to change as Yahoo is so incredibly unhelpful. There is no way to speak to a human UNLESS you are willing to shell out money. Apparently, Oath feels that stealing money from people for no real value is the way to line their coffers. I am certain this post will be closed for comment less than 30 minutes after I post it, so respond quickly if you have the same issue I do with spam not being spam.

I want to add certain contacts to not spam. Real emails are going into spam. Hopefully, I can 'unspam' certain contact in the future.

Please make it possible to delete adresses from the spam function! Once you have accidentally marked an email from a certain adress as "spam" all emails from that adress are delivered as spam and you can not reverse it.
Marking a certain email in the spam folder as “Not Spam” moves it to the Inbox. But it DOES NOT unmark the adress as a spam adress, and future emails from the adress are treated as spam.

AND....when we have emails in our spam folders, we don't know b/c there's no "number" beside the folders any longer. What a freaking mess. A bunch of monkeys must have created this "new and improved" email.

I have big problems by sometime clicking a mail as spam and then the people that sent that mail won't come through the spam filters even if they are in my contacts??? Why don't you just let mail in my contacts just pass the filters? And especially from businesses are my mail being denied and then there filter won't send mail from there server and the only way is that they have to reset this block every week for me......

We’ve been emailing for years! It seems since I upgraded to IOS 13 a few days ago, all of my sister’s emails end up in my Spam folder. Marked many of them as non-spam or moved the others to inbox, yet it keeps happening! Checked my contact list for her ID - nothing alarming there! Very frustrating! Expecting many legal & imp docs... some cannot be opened till email is in-spamed! HELP!!!

dear yahoo, here's an idea. STOP SENDING CONSERVATIVE AND REPUBLICAN emails THAT I PURPOSELY SUBSCRIBED TO, to my spam folder. STOP controlling my email and my spam. i am perfectly capable of controlling my own spam email. i have contacted yahoo regarding this problem before and never received a satisfactory response. you responded, " ' we cannot let you control all your spam on your own. ' " paraphrasing.
stop automatically sending my emails which i subscribed to and want to read to my spam folder because you don't like my republican and conservative emails. STOP. STOP STOP STOP STOP

I find those e-mails that have been in box was in SPAM folder, and new important e-mails in SPAM folder; since I did not find important e-mail in inbox, I contacted the sender and told them if PHP routine might not work...then I found in SPAM folder. I wonder what rules you determine which should be in SPAM.
--- How about this proposal: accept all the e-mails until we decide which should be moved into SPAM folder or not. This proposal is the same as the current trash folder to which we decide, right? Many people posted, please do not move e-mails to SPAM folder in a haphazard way, or setting Yahoo's rules. -

Something has changed in the last month or so on your spam filters, now emails i have gotten forever are going to spam even if they are in my contacts. Fire whoever changed spam filter and put it back. I have had perfect spam filter up until a month or so ago.
