Please Allow Users to Hide the Right Sidebar
Subject: Yahoo Mail UI Feedback – Please Allow Users to Hide the Right Sidebar
I am a paying Yahoo Mail Plus subscriber, and I am extremely disappointed with the new desktop interface.
The permanent right-hand sidebar displaying starred emails is unnecessary, redundant, and takes up valuable screen space. There is already a Starred folder in the left navigation menu, so duplicating this information serves little purpose.
Worse, the sidebar significantly reduces the width of the actual inbox, causing email subject lines to be truncated even on a large desktop monitor.
I have searched through Appearance, Viewing Email, and other settings, and there appears to be no option to collapse or hide this panel.
Please give users the ability to:
Hide or collapse the right-hand sidebar entirely.
Expand the inbox to use the available screen width.
Customize the desktop layout according to their preferences.
For those of us who use Yahoo Mail extensively for business and personal correspondence, productivity and readability should take priority over unnecessary interface elements.
As a paying subscriber, I expect a more flexible and user-friendly experience.
Please restore user control over the inbox layout.
