Coming Soon: Default to "ALL" Instead of "Priority"
I will often let Offers and Newsletters pile up for a while, then go through them all in one go. But, annoyingly, if I open a message from, say, the Newsletters view, then move the message to a folder, I get put back into Priority view - argh! It should return to the most recent view I was using (Newsletters).

Is there a way to have the default starting when I open my email to be "ALL" email instead of "Priority"
thank you,

I absolutely do not like the new format - hate that I miss emails because emails are sent to "All" but "Priority" is the default - who has time to look at every possible category just to see if someone is trying to communicate with them? Also, when something is moved or deleted, a popup appears over the options for my next email and hovers an unnecessarily long time. And now the darn thing is refusing to print - says I may have an extension blocking popups - but I haven't changed anything. I just want to be able to use and print my emails!!!

I'm a digital strategist with over 15+ years of web experimentation and UX/UI research. Please, for the love of God, just default the new Yahoo Mail experience to "All" and not "Priority". I am not seeing important messaging by default. This delays email communications, ... which makes me want to explore alternatives.

I would like to default to "ALL" emails, not "priority." There are no instructions that I could find that tells me how to set that up.

Start in "All" view or give me the option to do that. What Yahoo! thinks I want to see and what I want to see are not the same. Also, when in All view and exiting a message, your brilliant developers return you to Priority view. You need some new developers, new QA people, and new project managers.

This is also mentioned at the top of our Uservoice header, but coming soon the ability to default to the "All" category instead of "Priority." Also, we understand you might not need your emails organized into categories. Therefore, you can go back to having just one Inbox. Just go to your Settings > Personalize Inbox > Toggle off Inbox Categories. Hope this helps everyone!

Hi!
Please do the Inbox default to ALL real soon! It's annoying to have to click ALL each and every time, to switch from Priority!!!

The whole priority inbox thing SUCKS. I have 3 Yahoo mail accounts, and I liked it the way it was. I want to default to see ALL my emails when I go to all of my email accounts (NOT PRIORITY) and just click on my picture to switch between the accounts.

Why does it assume what is and isn't priority, and why can't I change it. Most of what is set as priority I don't care about, and I have to go to the All tab to find what is a priority to me.

i HATE THAT WHEN I GO TO YAHOO MAIL THAT PRIORITY COMES UP INSTEAD OF ALL. THEN IF YOU DELETE MESSAGES IN PRIORITY THEY DO NOT GET DELETED IN ALL. i HATE THIS NEW SYSTEM

The categories are great. But I would like to be able to set my default category. As of now, it defaults to "Priority". I want to be able to set it to "All" so I don't miss any messages that are categorized incorrectly. However, even if I select the All category, it will revert to priority when the page refreshes.

Get rid of the priority view. Especially as the default view. Horrible. Who is approving these changes??? Disaster.

My inbox keeps going to "Priority". I want it to stay on "All" email. Yesterday I opened it and I didn't realize that it was on "Priority" and I thought I was missing emails. If I had not realized that it had popped over to priority on its own, then I would really miss a lot of emails. Very inconvenient. I want to see "All" my emails 'all' the time. I don't even use "Priority". Thank you.

I also have trouble composing an email with an attachment. It was so easy the old way. This new way I try different ways until I finally get it to go. Very Frustrating!!

it defaults to "priority" when it should default to "all"

you should really let people decide what they want to see when they open their mail for instance if they want to see all mail or whatever the category you show us now. for a long time I was missing mail because i did not realize you had filtered it out. also in the other categories such as inbox you should let people decide what they want to see there also. I want to be able to see spam and trash there on the side i dont want to have to go through the process i have to go through now to get to it. you have really messed up your mail making it more inconvenient.

I've missed multiple important emails before realizing I was looking at some arbitrary "Priority" label as the default view. While I'm extremely frustrated, I'm more amazed that a professional product and software team would release a restricted view as a default unannounced to customers. I feel like you're purposely pushing me away towards other email providers and after decades of use that's disappointing.

Defaulting to a non-user selected filtering is BAD design and development. The user needs to select filtering and defaults.
