HI George, we wanted to thank you for creating this thread and for everyone else who reported this issue. We were easily able to replicate and we have pushed a fix for this. This should be fixed. If you do keep experiencing it, please feel free to create a new thread. For now, we are going to mark this as fixed and complete. Thanks everyone!

Adding it to the WTF? message in the chats -meaning I'm not the only one having my time wasted by a poorly planned New System. (& a little furious about it) Understand that a new system may have glitches, but to just leave off obvious things is just lousy engineering on Yahoo's end.

I wrote a long letter to my sister in the NEW yahoo. Went for a little sign-off emoji and erased two hours of careful syntax & spelling!!!!
In old yahoo there was a box of recently chosen emojis, used the seasonal ones repeatedly & flowers. Gone, along with this long letter.
X'ed out of emoji box & the letter was gone! Looked in folders/spam/trash..etc... What happened to "confirm" to delete? Could my letter STILL be in the machine??? If so, even untimely, I would still like to retrieve it....... Thank-you Yahoo Specialist for specifically answering this problem & not sending me to more troubleshooting menus & chats. Thank you again for your reply. . . Can we request the old system, yet? I don't need to share it with any devices.
