Return to Classic Mail
Go back to the original Yahoo. This is terrible. Why do I have to click on the 3 dots on the bottom to get the Spam and Trash Folders. They should be on the top with the icons for inbox, etc.

Hi,
I really don't like the new version of the latest updates! I wish I could go back to the old one, much clearer for me. I feel like my mailbox is in a big mess and in reality I'm going there now, only when I really need. You should have an option, that who doesn't feel comfortable with the new one, to go back to the old one. I'm extremely dissapointed and your made much harder for me to use it. -

Return to the old, WORKING, email. No more scrambled messages. Just clear and complete as it was.

There's so much screen real estate wasted in between panes that it makes viewing on small laptop screens painful. I like Outlook's "Use tighter spacing" option (not available yet? on newer versions of Outlook) that reduces the space between emails in the message list pane; I'd like something like that in Yahoo mail too. In your message list preferences popup, I see options for "Expanded" and "Compact". Please add something even more compact than "Compact". And when that option is chosen, also use less space between folders in the folder pane. And please add an option somewhere to use less space between panes in the UI, to more effectively use space on a small screen (but also available even on large screens).

1) The way the new inboxes look only about 1/4 of my screen is used to read emails, and i usually have to scroll up and down, and also left and right, just to read them. This is ridiculous, please devote more of the screen to the actual emails please.
2) What is with the Starred/Contacts/More panel on the right? It contains absolutely nothing and is literally useless. Delete it, or please give us the option to hide or minimize it.
3) Eliminate the tabs, I hate them. Show me my entire inbox, or give me the option to choose which tab my email automatically defaults to when I log in. All, Primary, Offers, Social, Newsletters - this is completely unnecessary.
If you are trying to drive me away from using all of yahoo's services entirely you are doing a great job at that at least. I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS NEW FORMAT. -

Go back to the original Yahoo Mail for desktop/browsers... The upgrades to calendar are unappealing and are not user friendly...
Calendar needs DARKER line ne breaks between the days, more options for customizing calendars, option to DELETE calendar besides ADD new...
Contacts in old yahoo DO NOT open when selected to view ALL the contact information, Options given are to DELETE or EDIT contact... When EDIT is selected it does not show ALL the contact information...
In New Yahoo the contact box is tiny and does not stand out. Contact information is shown in a 1/4 screen (cell phone)

New look is appalling. The only thing worse is the lack of choice to switch back.

I've tried the new email a few times now. The existing version is simpler and easier to use.

You know some one is really smart and a complete sociopath. Yes making the the old yahoo mail so terrible to use will make people migrate to the new system. No it won't keep them from being ****** off at you. The "old" yahoo mail worked very well, the layout was easily distiguished between read and unread, the preview was just big enough to be useful without taking up too much space. plus a lot of other small things that made it work well. The problem with trying to make a good system feel new is that new has to be different and changing a good system tends to make it not good anymore. i wish i could tell you which version I am talking about because it is clear you are running multiple versions for different customers but I can't find a version number in the program. I'd gladly pay Yahoo to run the old version, but I'm learning other email clients now so that I don't have to use your stupidly designed program.

I've had my Yahoo account for 25 years!! I HATE this new "whatever" you have going on. It's not easier. It's not user friendly, It's a nightmare. It's like walking in to a room taking a child's favorite toy out of his hand and then handing him a potato. We didn't ask for this. We didn't want this and We certainly don't want to go to Google after all these years. All we want is a way to go back to the original. So if you're crazy and you like it, keep it. Good for you, and if you're crazy and you hate then you don't have to be forced to have it or start all over again after being a faithful user of 25 years. That's all we're asking for Yahoo. C'mon

I hate your 'new' layout. I don't like the 1/2 page with stupid ads to the Rt. Return to a full page of email!
ALSO: Yahoo's censoring of comments really sucks. I have in the past written comments using the same words or sentences as your story and you won't allow it because it might hurt some socialist feelings.

Go back to the old version. That's the idea. Nothing more. Whoever designed the new version clearly does not use email. This is terrible - the new version has added nothing, and instead has made the inbox harder to view and emails easier to miss. The amount of people trying to switch back should tell Yahoo just how bad this update is.

The new UI that was forced upon me a week ago is awful. People online talk of an option to in settings to revert to the previous UI but that option doesn't appear for me. Here's a few of the reasons I find the new UI so awful:
- there's too many vertical panes squeezed in side by side and that means there's not enough width left available for me to see all of an email in the reading pane without needing to side scroll. I'm on a 16:10 15" screen at 110% zoom, so it's already a wide'ish screen, and the zoom isn't unreasonable, and it's painful to use now.
- the archive button has been moved behind the 3 dots menu, so now needs 2 clicks to archive something instead of 1
- and you don't even give us the option to revert to the alternative UI -

I hate the new email and since today when I hit go back. The old version only shows about 20 emails and then you have to select next and next and next instead of scrolling. I dont like the looks or navigation or anything about the layout. And the ANdroid app is a joke now. I cant send reply and cant forward and I cant compose and send. I call everyday and waste hours because they cant get on the screen for screen sharing. The whole mess that they made it awful Looking for new email after 30 years is not easy

Stop. Just stop. Or maybe stop dripping out the "changes" one or two things at a time. I never know what to expect. It's just too overwhelming. Give us a break already, ok?
Try to delete an email and the delete button jumps around and I end up opening it instead.
Who is designing these changes? Do you actually use Yahoo email?
I'd like to get rid of the big "starred contacts and more" on the right side of the screen. Why can't I get rid of this?
Why is emailing a list from contacts so difficult?
Why can't people automatically get added as contacts? Gmail manages to do this.
Why is creating or editing a contact so challenging? So clunky and ugly.
Oh, my, God, I'm so over this! Looking at going to gmail.

I've had Yahoo mail for over 27 years and this desktop version is the worst ever. It constantly freezes, you cannot get around the Ads, and it's difficult to move around the inbox without significant delay. It's also difficult to see what email messages are new. I think this is the final straw to move me to a gmail account. This is absolutely crazy in 2025 to have mail freeze every day because of constant ads. I'm done with Yahoo. There is much better out there.

The New Yahoo Mail is ridiculous! What do you mean Basic Mail setting is not available for my account at this time?!? You changed the layout without my approval -- I did not want the New Yahoo Mail layout and had no way of exiting it when it first popped up; the system just forced it! It's hideous, basically copying Gmail and I do not want it. I want the old layout back -- that was simple, easy to read (when it isn't broken, don't fix it -- or at least give people the choice!!!).

Can you consider yahoo classic theme? I liked it a lot, but it seems that the new interface has removed it, which is not convenient,
