Return to Classic Mail
Go back to the original Yahoo. This is terrible. Why do I have to click on the 3 dots on the bottom to get the Spam and Trash Folders. They should be on the top with the icons for inbox, etc.

Yahoo apparently DESPISES their own users because they REFUSE to listen to thousands and thousands of complaints asking for our original e-mail back (that worked just fine). This new version of e-mail is a total abomination. BRING BACK THE OLD E-MAIL!!!

I absolutely HATE the new layout. It's a copy of Gmail, which I also hate. That says a lot since there is a lot of stuff to hate right now. Yahoo had a great layout. It was simple and functional, and it was easy to find everything. This new layout is horrible.

"*Those asking about going back to the old version. Unfortunately, if you do not see the "Go Back" button you cannot go back. We really hope you'll try the new experience! Thanks!" We tried it! That's how we know we do not like it! What's the point of this notice? Sounds more like, "We have heard your feedback and we do not care."

the color theme is bad enough that i can't see which messages i have read and which are new, i can barely read the title of the message, and the new e-mail format is bad.

The former Classic Email is intuitive, clean and easy to use. Emails can be marked unread with a single click of the mouse and starred/marked priority directly to the left of the subject. All folders are visible on the left side. It’s easy to distinguish current day emails from the previous day/week/month. Functions listed across the top use words, not icons so it’s easy to find the needed function and the functions are always in the same order. It’s visually pleasing without clutter. It is so efficient it’s hard to understand why it has changed in such a drastic way.
The new email is cumbersome and cluttered. The right-side pane is useless and takes up space that could be used to see longer previews. Functions (like marking an email unread) require two clicks of the mouse instead of one, using the upper bar instead of a dot next to the email. The functions above emails (move, delete, spam, etc.) are arranged in one order when emails are closed, but the order changes when viewing an email, which is confusing. Functions are icons instead of words (move, delete, spam) so with every move the user must stop to process what each icon means. Folders on the left aren’t displayed and require multiple clicks to access. It’s not as visually clean and there is no separation of current emails from previous emails. It requires so much thinking to do what needs to be done, it quite inefficient compared to Classic Email.

I was able to switch back to the old version after seeing some comments here that they were able to! The option was there! Soothing green instead of obnoxious purple! Mail sorted by day so I can see when everything arrived! No stupid previews! The tab button works again and doesn't try to send an email before it's finished!! Thank you thank you thank you!

If Yahoo has to make so many changes to the new version just to make it anywhere near tolerable, then just admit to a mistake and go back to the previous version!
The inbox message are spaced too far apart and difficult to read.
ALL folders should be listed as before.
Come on, Yahoo -

Hate the new redesign. I have had yahoo email for like 20 years and think I will be leaving. I am missing emails, hate the automatic filing or indexing feature, find the new layout unattractive. Just want to be able to opt out of it and leave the classic version.

This version is just as bad as the Focused inbox in Outlook. I don't know who thought this was a good idea. But I hate it.
I DO NOT WANT YAHOO SORTING MY EMAIL BY WHAT THEY THINK IS IMORTANT. JUST SHOW ME EVERYTHING AND I WILL FIGURE IT OUT.

THANK GOD. I went into my settings and for the first time, there's the option to switch to the Old Version. WHAT A RELIEF to finally see that! I was able to switch back to the simple, streamlined format so many of us love.
THANK YOU Yahoo for finally listening to your subscribers. Let's hope the option to remain with Classic Mail is permanent.
