Search in specific folder
I used emails in a specific folder not the whole mailbox. It'll be nice to have that feature again. Thank you

I used to have many filter options while searching - these included by date and by folder. Could you bring these back ? Why did you remove and reduce basic features and functions ? Do you have all removals/changes documented somewhere ? I am a long time user of Yahoo mail, and feel like this is removing functionality. And maybe Yahoo's way of forcing me to pay a few $ for "improved" email access ???

It would be quite helpful to add a field in the advance search window the ability to choose which folder(s) to search. I just found that I could add "in:folder-name" to the search, but a dedicated field would make this much easier and conspicuous for my aging mind. Thanks!

I have several specialized folders for one subject (genealogy). When I search for a sender I'd like to be able to limit the search to the inbox only, so that I do not pick up all the already sorted messages. As it is, I have to hunt and peck individual messages in the search results to send to the special folders.

There seems to be no way to search my entire email including all folders. This is annoying and makes yahoo mail pretty useless

Currently, you only give the option to search all messages or search another email account. Please add the option to search a specific folder (one I created) for an email. For example, I have a folder called "Orders," when I make an online purchase I save the receipt email in this folder. If I go looking for this email, I only want to search for it in my "Orders" folder. I do not want to search all my emails. Another option would be to allow users to change the color tint of the headers of all of the emails in my Orders folder so when I search for a specific email, all the emails in my Orders folder would show up in the color tint I had selected for that folder. All the emails still in my inbox would be white. Currently, you have to move the mouse over each email header in the list to see where that email is being stored (inbox, Orders, or some other folder).

Add ability or filter to search only one folder. I wish to search and delete old emails in my inbox, but not emails I have saved in folders.

Hey Brandon, yes this has been a popular request from our Community and it's definitely on our list to add when searching. We are definitely working in implementing this soon. Thank you for the suggestion. We really appreciate it.

I have hundreds of folders. I would like to search certain folders for old emails. It would be easier to have the search option, like you do for storing the emails.

I would like to search my Inbox for emails from a sender. The advanced search option does not offer the option, instead searches all folders. I'm not saving much time this way, I still need to look through the list to see which folders the emails are in. (I'm using this to bulk filter emails so I can send store them in the appropriate folder. I've been away from emails for a few days, and this would be the quickest way to organize the incoming emails.)

Please add the option to search by mailbox and folder, like we could on the old versions of Yahoo Mail. The Advanced Search does not provide this option. I am looking for mail in my Inbox... this has been particularly difficult to manage.

The search in the new Yahoo mail doesn't have the ability to search specific folders. I frequently want to search only messages in the inbox but I don't see a way to do that. The results include messages from all other folders, making search less useful. The old Yahoo Mail has an Advanced search where you can select the folder to search in. This is missing from the new Yahoo Mail. Until this is fixed, I prefer to use the old Yahoo Mail. Thanks for listening.

Another issue is with the old yahoo mail I could do a search of my inbox only. With the new yahoo mail when I go to inbox and then go to the search box in upper left, it searches ALL emails in ALL of the folders, not just my inbox.

I'd like to have an option to search the inbox only, which was possible with the classic interface.

Not having the ability to search specific folders makes it even more challenging to clean out my mailbox. With the old Yahoo Mail, we could search by sender and filter by folder. Emails that are important to me are filed in a labeled folder. If I want to do a mass clean up of my inbox, I can no longer exclude those important emails from being rendered in the search results for quick deletion and I do not have time to go through each email one-by-one to redetermine which are important prior to deletion and shouldn't have to as I have already deemed them important by filing them in a separate folder.

MOST IMPORTANT feature you took out when you created 'new' email - To be able to search by folder.
What is 'archived' . Where is that folder and how do I search so I can delete them?
Don't want you or you AI to 'guess' what I consider priority Others may want it, personnally, my experiance with AI is that it isn't there yet.. If it was, I would not keep getting things put into spam that do not belong there.
I do not see anything in your list of 'new features' that I want.
I can already see number of messages

When I do an advanced search, the original functionality where I could limit the search to a specific folder or all mail is extremely useful; should retain all the original advanced search options. Also it is very useful to be use the Spam button to tag selected emails as junk in one click.
You should include the functionality to download emails to local storage for offline access. This will allow the user to delete locally archived emails from the yahoo email server and free up online storage.
