It does not appear that one can still select specific folders as criteria for searching. This is extremely limiting and results in additional time and effort for me. Some users do use folders in this email service and others. So, searching exclusively in the inbox for a specific date range of messages is very helpful in cleaning email. I *do not* want to include mail that I have already put into a folder. It seems to me this would not be difficult for advanced search as was there previously.

Search feature no longer has ability to focus on a folder - Search feature has become not as useful. Ability to search in a particuar folder only, or by sender only, or with attachments only etc are missing compared to the classsic version

Searches from within most folders search only the contents of that folder. However, searches from within Inbox search ALL folders (not just Inbox). Limit Inbox searches to the Inbox folder (by default). Provide a non-default means of searching ALL folders.

You used to be able to filter your searches by various folders. If it is still possible, it's not clear how to do it. Stop messing with things.

Currently, Search is always global, even from inside a specific folder. Make Search default to "only within the current folder". Provide a setting to specify either the specific folder to be searched or "All Folders".

The inability to specify which folder to do a search in represents a major drawback. I want to search my inbox only so I can move relvant items to a folder. This used to be possible and I don't understand why it no longer is,

I need to be able to search within folders, such as, all the results in the inbox so that I can move them to the proper folder. I don't want to move things out of the SENT box to a folder, that'd just be silly, so please allow me to search within folders, not just within email accounts.

As one of the filter options, you should be able to choose which folder to look in or which ones to ignore when you search for key words.

Please allow us to search in specific folders, especially inbox. I like to search for topics in the inbox to move them to their respective folders to keep them organized.

I don't want to search all the mailboxes at once, I just want to search my main one. Or a folder within the mailbox. Gives us more control over our seraches.

Please, please, please restore the ability to search by folder. I need to search only the inbox and not the other folders to be able to quickly delete unneeded emails. The loss of this feature makes me want to switch to the older version, but I don't see a way to do that. Thanks!

Should be able to constrain search to a specific folder, such as the Inbox, rather than all of Mail.

it is a pain to have all mails listed , during the search operations. Any selection of the mails in the search results is a real nighmare !! The only option seems to be click each mail to have it selected ... or you can select all mails at once ... but no way to quickly select a sizeable number of mails ... ! So for a baby step solution .. have at least one folder ...u can have one default folder created by you , like Archive .. but which will not be searched for mails, during the search operations ... This will remove GREAT PAIN for the world ... Thank me WELL , IN KIND , if my idea is implemented !

I used to be able to search my inbox or a specific folder. Now when I search, I am shown every single SENT message along with the INBOX stuff along with FOLDERS for that sender or search topic. This makes finder stuff take 5x longer than it should sometimes. Allow me to search inbox only or exclude sent, etc.

Add a button or dropdown in the Advanced filter that allows to search only in the InBox or search only in a specific folder.

search function needs to have the ability to limit search to Inbox only, or only on "non-foldered" emails.

today when you do a search, all emails in all mailboxes come, but does not help to address an specific mailbox you want to manage. I think there has to be a selection box to choose if the email search is in ALL the emails or if selected to specific mailbox, that will make the search more effective.
