Hello Yahoo Support Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment and concern about the recent change to Yahoo Mail’s view format that significantly reduces the visible email space and effectively forces users to subscribe to a paid plan to regain a usable interface.
This change has a direct, negative impact on my ability to manage email efficiently. The reduced view area makes it harder to read messages, triage my inbox, and work quickly—tasks that used to be straightforward on the free service. Requiring a subscription to restore basic functionality feels like a forced monetization that undermines the value I have relied on from Yahoo Mail and diminishes trust in the service.
I respectfully request that Yahoo consider one or more of the following remedies:
- Restore an optional “classic” or expanded view for free users, or provide a comparable free viewing option;
- Offer a clear explanation of the change and why this functionality was moved behind a paywall; or
- Grandfather existing accounts into the previous view or provide a transition period or discount for long-time users.
I value Yahoo’s services and would prefer to continue as a satisfied user, but this change is pushing me to consider alternatives. Please let me know what steps Yahoo will take to address this issue. I would appreciate a response within 10 business days.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
