Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

how can you turn off the right-hand column, the one that shows starred emails and contacts. It is annoying and eats up a lot of real estate that would be better used showing the actual emails I am interested in reading.

The right side panel which includes the Starred, Contacts and More links is taking up way too much space which can be used for the actual messages. Can I delete or shrink it? There has to be a better way to access those options without sacrificing valuable real estate for the actual messages!

I'd like a way to turn off the Starred / Contact view. It takes up a lot of screen size and I don't need to see it every time I look at my mail.

The sidebar on the right side of the screen, combined with the enormous amount of whitespace in between, makes the new Yahoo Mail completely useless on a small laptop screen.
Please make the sidebar optional - it's not really that useful for most users.

In the legacy Yahoo Desktop Mail, there is a toolbar on the right (when message preview is shown below the email preview list) that has buttons for "Contacts, Calendar, Notepad, Help, Settings".
This should be moved to the left column (above or under "Compose") and free up about 25% of the screen real estate. Or at least put in an option to remove the toolbar from view.
This change would be vastly better and an improvement on even the new Mail screen. -

Please take the starred view off. I have Yahoo Plus and pay a yearly fee. If there is a way to do it now, please let me know how. I like to see a full PC page of the beginning of the incoming emails. It makes it easier to judge if it's spam without opening it. Anything that is in the "starred" "Contacts" and "More" dropdown could be put in the 9 dots to the right of my profile picture for me to click on and go to what I need. I would much rather have the full space to read the first lines of the incoming emails.

How do you permanently disable this feature (Starred and contacts on the right side) as it encroaches on my emails list and I have 0 use for it? I wouldn't mind keeping it if it had a calendar that would come up there but the calendar only comes up in a new tab. Totally dysfunctional from the users standpoint

How can I remove the right-hand column????
This column, which lists starred items, is not necessary.
There is an option to filter the primary message list to show only starred items. That option appears in the vertical set of icons along the left side of the screen. As a result, there is no reason to take up 25% of the screen with the column that appears on the right side of the screen.
If there is some setting that allows that column to be closed/removed, I've not been able to find it. -

I have switched to New Yahoo Mail and I have a massive area of blank unused space on the right hand area of my browser screen doing nothing, but my message preview window is unreadable without scrolling right and left. I cannot switch back to classic as you have taken away the option to revert back as the option does not appear (why?). If you cannot fix this soon and allow the right hand message window to expand to cover the full right hand of the screen I will stop using Yahoo mail completely after many many years.

Van the right bar (starred or contacts) be allowed to be either hidden or at least minimized? Never used by me, and cuts off the right edge of some emails.

Please give an option to remove the starred/contacts/calendar panel on the right side of the new mail layout. It is wasted screen real estate and makes the interface far less useful. Thanks.

It appears that the user is able to resize the width of the left hand column that lists all of the emails. It would be great if the user could resize the width of the actual email message box and the starred, contact more (far right column) to better utilize the blank space between these two areas.

I don't need to see the column on the right, which included "Starred". I would rather see the inbox all the way to the right of the screen. The extra column is useless to me.

Please restore the ability to click the star button back on the left side! It's killing my wrist to move across the screen like this.

The panel to the right of the email.....that should be removable completely so that email can span the whole page...There is too much going on and its not useful. If others want it, great, but i have tried to find a way to remove it and can not.

I've had my mailbox setup with only 2 columns: All the folders on the left and all the emails on the right. With this new version, there is now a third column to the right of my emails and none of your layouts remove it. It'll just stay empty for my needs so it would be better if I could just remove it. If not, I'll go back to using the old yahoo mail for as long as I can.

Think section that you see the emails and the preview on the right should be wider and the box showing the ads takes up too much space. Preference is not to see the ads at all! Also can the option to filer or sort the emails by sender be made available so to be able to group relevant emails together? Makes it easier to manage
