Improve spam filters instead of adding other garbage
I only use my Yahoo email address for websites I don't fully trust (marketing/newsletters/loyalty programs), so about 75% of my daily email is spam from third-party companies, data breach email lists, etc. I don't mean junk I subscribed to, I mean "your cloud account is suspended", "get your free dewalt tool likt", etc. spam. I don't go a day without having to mark at least one email, usually more, as spam instead of being filtered.
If you really want people to use your product more, work on better spam filtering instead of newer layouts and the "inbox cleanup challenge" garbage. There's no way I'd use this as my primary email when I'd have to spend half my time filtering out spam email that Gmail, Outlook, etc., will mark properly

Are these legit junk emails or newsletter/promotional type emails from stores, etc? Big difference. For legit spammy emails, please "mark as spam" instead of deleting. For other coupon/promotional type emails like from stores, unsubscribe, at one point (even if you don't remember) you subscribed to these emails. Hope this helps!
