Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

I would like to see my calendar on the right-hand side. I don't want to see all the ad's.
Also on the calender, appointments can be marked and will be easy to view as the calendar appears on the right-handside. -

Hi, for the love of god, can you give the option to remove or atleast resize the contacts pane on the right as it used to be before?? I don't use that pane and it's basically making my email pane smaller, y'know... the whole reason I open my MAIL APP?!

Hi there, I have been using Yahoo Mail+ for years and generally like it, but I am sending you a feature request.
I have noticed that when viewing my email list, there is a side bar on the right-hand side that shows favorites. I get very little value out of this side bar yet it is taking up a non-trivial amount of screen real-estate.
Please consider offering a setting or other ability to disable this UI element.

Hello,
I’d like to share some feedback regarding the “Message layout: Right” view in Yahoo Mail.
At the moment, the email preview pane feels too narrow, which makes reading emails less comfortable—especially for longer or formatted messages. The main reason seems to be the fixed right-side panel (the one showing “Starred,” “Contacts,” “More,” etc.), which takes up a significant portion of the screen.
It would be very helpful if users had the option to hide, collapse, or fully remove this right-side panel. This would allow the email preview area to expand and make better use of the available screen space.
Since the purpose of the “Right” layout is to improve readability and workflow, giving users more control over that space would significantly enhance the experience.
Thank you for considering this improvement!

On a big desktop display, the look is OK.
But on my smaller laptop screen, too much space ist wasted between the panes left and right and the search bar above.
Also I have to minimize the rioght pane every time I open Yahoo mail. I want my settings remembered! -

The window where I can see the actual email is so small. I often have to scroll horizontally. Why can't I get rid of the box/panel on the right side? Is there an option to view the email without the sidebar/list of emails still present? Is it one bad UI or just bad UX where the option to change the view is impossible to find?

To be able to remove the box on the right of the screen for Ads, with the option to see starred/contacts would be nice, as it is in the previous version where there is an arrow to slide the messages box to the right.

Remove the stupid right panel with the starred / contacts / More is just in the way and pointless

Please allow us to remove, close or minimize the far right column.
On my 14inch monitors or my tiny laptop, it is taking up too much real estate and is really not important enough to have open at all times.
Please give us the option to not have it there so I can read and write emails without it getting in the way.
Thank you -

With the new layout there is so much layout padding it leaves almost no space to view my emails! Ability to minimize the right hand column would help a lot - but so would the ability to resize both left and right hand columns. This would be much better than the current collapse/expand of the left hand column, which doesn't work well on Firefox&win11 because the arrow icon takes about half a second to appear

Hello Yahoo!
The right side of the mailbox "layout" is cramped by the starred, calendar and notes column box. Its a shame!
Could the starred, calendar and notes be a "pop out window" leaving more space for the most essential mail viewing area?Cheers

The Starred Contacts pane on the right of the Mail window is not useful. It takes up too much screen space. I have to expand my browser window to full width on my monitor to get my mail pane to a usable width. Give us users the option to turn it off if we are not using it.

Please make it possible to reduce or get rid of the comtacts panel on the right, it takes too much space and makes the new yahoo mail poor!

The left column of the interface should be adjustable in width by dragging its border, whereas currently it can only be made visible or invisible.
On the right side of the interface, I would like the panel displaying contacts to always display its contents, whereas currently its contents are cleared each time.
When moving messages from one folder to another, the search field for the destination folder should always be activated without having to click on it, whereas currently it is sometimes active (clickable) and sometimes not; I don't understand how.
It would be very helpful to have confirmation of receipt by the recipient and a message delivery notification.
I hope these suggestions are implemented and would appreciate feedback from Yahoo. -

i really hate how much the boxes take up so much space you can not see the emails. Theres no reason for either of the left and right side boxes to be there, get rid of both boxes on both sides. its stupid to only see a quarter preview of my email. just to click on it and still only get small view instead of seeing the whole email with out having to scroll down. i been using yahoo email for over 20 years. its ugly and ridiculous

The Starred pane can be reduced. It's counterintuitive, but I figured out how. Even the guy I spent an hour with from your tech support didn't know how to close (reduce) it. HOWEVER... once I reduce it, if I refresh the screen, the dang thing re-expands! That's just rude. The left menu, when reduced to icons, doesn't re-expand on screen refresh, so why does the right "starred" pane? If you can't be smart, at least be consistent!

The layout of the screen is very VERY wasteful of screen space. Especially when the "Starred" box takes up a HUGE chunk of screen real estate and serves no useful purpose. Even when all stars are removed, the thing still takes up space. So much that the preview pane can only show about half a normal message. That's just horrible screen layout.

I don't want it to be seen as a separate tab window with stars, I don't like that and I don't see a way to cancel it, why do you always think that you have improved something, but in fact it is unclear and impractical!

The box on the right hand side that shows ads, starred messages and contacts needs to be smaller or even better, give us the ability to minimize it. Being so large makes it difficult to see and read my emails.
If it is the ads you are worried about us seeing, then just make the box smaller. -

When you click an email to read it, the reading pane isn't wide enough to read the whole line of message. You have to scroll left-to-right and back for each line of paragraph, making it difficult to want to read a whole thing. An alternative could be the ability to open the message on a separate window for a smooth and pleasant reading experience.
