Gmail now allows users to change their email address while retaining the same account, with the old address becoming an alternate email address. I hope Yahoo Mail can offer a similar feature in the future.

Please consider account users around the world who may need to change their email address. Having to create a new email account and migrate all linked apps, subscriptions, and accounts to a new email address can be quite a hassle and inconvenience.

I understand that there may be security and technical considerations involved, and limitations could certainly be implemented to prevent misuse—for example, limiting how often an email address can be changed. However, having the option to change the primary email address while retaining the same account, contacts, messages, and linked services would be a very helpful and user-friendly feature.

I hope Yahoo Mail will consider adding this functionality in the future.
