mail storage problem
Subject: Urgent: Systemic Yahoo Mail Storage Glitch Affecting Thousands of Users
Dear Mr. Lanzone,
I am writing to bring to your attention a significant and ongoing technical failure with Yahoo Mail that is affecting thousands of users worldwide, including myself.
The Issue:
Since 12 August 2026, I have been unable to send or receive emails through my Yahoo Mail account. My "Manage Storage" page shows my mailbox is 100% full. However, I have permanently deleted over 6.8 GB of emails and emptied both my Trash and Spam folders. Despite this, the storage meter remains stuck at "0% available" and continues to state I need to "free up 8.2 GB."
The Impact:
This is not an isolated bug. Many users have reported the exact same issue across Yahoo's official forums and UserVoice. The inability to receive or send emails is causing significant disruption to:
· Personal communication (family, friends, professional contacts)
· Access to essential services (banking alerts, OTPs, government communications)
· Business operations (many small business owners rely on Yahoo Mail)
My Request:
I respectfully request your assistance in:
Investigating why the storage meter fails to update after users delete emails.
Correcting my account's storage record to reflect the actual available space of 6.8 GB (45.3%) so I can resume normal email functionality.
Implementing a fix to prevent this issue from affecting more users in the future.
I have already contacted Yahoo Help Central multiple times without receiving a resolution or meaningful response. As a long-time user, I am disappointed that a paid subscription appears to be the only way to access basic technical support for a system error that is clearly on Yahoo's side.
I trust you will take this matter seriously and ensure that affected users receive the support they deserve.
Thank you for your time and attention to this urgent matter.
Sincerely,
David Lim Kay Hai
