Poor layout design
Yahoo Mail's New Layout Makes Emails Difficult to Read
I have tolerated Yahoo Mail's increasingly cluttered layout for years, but the changes made today have made it impossible to continue.
The actual email reading window is far too small. On a large desktop screen, a significant portion of the screen is taken up by unused wasted space, leaving a narrow area for the actual email.
This is a serious usability problem. Email is primarily for reading emails. The reading area should be the most important part of the interface, not the smallest.
Please provide an option to:
• Allow users to adjust the relative width of the message list and reading pane.
• Remove or collapse unnecessary wasted space at the top and side
• Make better use of the available screen width for displaying the actual email.
I do not want to switch email providers or use third-party email software just to be able to read my Yahoo emails comfortably. Please fix the Yahoo Mail reading experience or give users a setting that allows them to customize.
I have put up with the increasingly poor layout for years. Today's change is what finally made the reading experience unacceptable.
