Give us back the basic mail interface. This new interface is hot garbage. It gives no real benefits for PC users and strips useful features that basic had.

In basic I could open several emails in new tabs (using mousewheel clicks) and reference them while working and composing email. Now with the new interface you cannot do that. The "multi tasking tabs" feature is not sufficient. The only real solution is to open a new browser tab of the inbox for each email I need to reference and navigate to that email. This is sub-optimal.

The icons next to the sender names are really distracting. They are not consistent even from the same sender. It's very apparent when you sort by sender. Some icons are a company logo, some are just initials in a colored circle but the color of the circles are not even consistent. It's garbage. I can read. I'm not an infant. I don't need nor want pictures to identify the sender.

And what's up with the "achievements" who the **** is this for? If I wanted "achievements" I would fire up the xbox or go on STEAM. Seriously this is email not Fortnite or Call of Duty.

There are more things I don't like about the new interface but these are some of the big ones. It's almost as if whomever greenlighted theses changes doesn't actually use it or they are so simpleminded that they are content with pictures and achievements.

You're probably saying to yourself "this is a lot of complaining with no ideas or fixes" but if you think hard you will see what the idea/fix is. Give us back the option to use the basic mail interface. It was perfect. It was fast, intuitive, easy to use, looked cleaner, there was nothing wrong with it.

Here's an idea, ********: STOP FORCING THIS CHANGE TO THE NEW FORMAT!! I kept clicking to basic mail for a reason. This ugly format keeps slowing down my browser whenever I try scrolling through my emails. I was fine with using Basic without the extra features that I'll never use, and for ****'s sake STOP PUSHING AI ONTO ME YOU CORPORATE PIECES OF ****!!!

I would like to return to classic Yahoo mail. I do not like the new version and I may decide to find another email provider with less bells and whistles.

I want the older version back. Give me the option to make my own decisions.

Please restore the Basic Yahoo setting. The new interface is subpar and there are too few settings to adjust one's viewing experience.

Need ability to change font size, boldness, and spacing between email in mailbox. The new Yahoo is barely usable for me right now. Did you folks actually do some user testing before releasing this?

Please, for the love of all things holy, bring back the option to go back to basic mail. The option just disappeared for me today (WHY?!) and I can't stand the new layout. Why is there no option to collapse the empty panel on the right side--the one that says starred and contacts? It takes up way too much space that should be used for displaying my emails!

It looks like you're trying way too hard to be Gmail without giving us the easy readability and customization options of Gmail. I have always preferred Yahoo because of the clean, uncluttered interface of the basic version, but now my Gmail account is sooo much easier to look at than the new Yahoo mail.

Other complaints:

--Too difficult to tell the difference between read and unread messages via the message title (the little purple dots next to the sender names are just visually distracting)

--Including part of the message next to the message title clutters the layout. Just list the titles!

--Why include icons next to the sender names? I can read just fine, that's why I have an email account. It would look so much cleaner without the distracting icons.

--This is a minor one, but why does EVERY visual aspect have a round edge? What do you have against rectangles? I know newer web devs seem to be obsessed with rounding everything, but sharp edges just look so much crisper and cleaner.

Everytime I sign in now I am asked to create my fingerprint for sign in. Stop it already! Have an option to stop that unless I want it.

Can we please get an option to stay back in the old basic mail setup? the new style you are forcing onto us is very cluttered and unhelpful. If some want to try the new, let them. do not force the rest of us to stay with it.

I don't understand why you're fixing something that isn't broken. I have no interest in a bunch of "features" that I'll never use. Literally. I've been using Yahoo mail for over 26 years now, and would really prefer not to move, but if I have too... Please just set my account back to what it was and maybe make a note that this user doesn't want updates or fixes that are just unnecessary. Please and thank you.

I want the option, I prefer the older version or page set up to my yahoo mail...just because someone thinks it cool or better it might not be for others. Don't try and reinvent the wheel.

Leave alone what works, and let us be! Newer isn't better for most people, so either let us go back to classic email, or lose us forever.

I've been using classic email for years. It's simple to use. The new versions are complicated. I so resent being forced to switch. Like, right in the middle of a session, going through my emails, it just changed. No way of getting my classic back 😖😭

New "N" version is horrible, why cant I just have the ability to opt out and switch back?

**** THIS NEW LAYOUT. If the old layout doesn't return or become optional I'm going to fully move my email use over to another service. If there's an option I'm missing please let me know where to select it. This new layout is awful, I hate how scrunched it makes the email window between the usual left tab and the useless blank space to the right I can't eliminate. Do better guys.

It blows my mind that y'all are forcing "new yahoo mail" on us WHERE IT IS 1000 WORSE THEN THE CLASSIC VERSION. It is so much harder to see the emails on a desktop the colors the layout. IT IW HORRIBLE! Go back to the version we could all use!
