New experience desperately needs more customizability
The new experience is still as unpleasant and unappealing as the first time I tried it, leading me to stick to the older basic mail version until forced into the new experience - and I still have two major issues with it.
My biggest issue is the right-hand panel (containing calendar, starred, and contacts), this panel is unhelpful to me and only serves to clutter the browser window, can there please be an option to disable it?
The general appearance of the new experience (the unappealing smoothness) only serves to make the new experience less compact than the previous basic mail layout - more view customization options are needed to make it more compact and usable.
