Search in specific folder
I used emails in a specific folder not the whole mailbox. It'll be nice to have that feature again. Thank you

I used to be able to select a folder to search within but now it doesn't give me the option so when i search it searches all my folders and not just the inbox or specific folder that I'm trying to search. Just bring back the option to select a folder within the search box

No longer able to search within a folder, especially the Trash folder. With the new format, it doesn't allow you to search in a specific folder. It no longer allows you to search in the Trash folder at all! I used the search function a lot. Why would you remove a function?! Please restore the full search functions.

Describe that New Yahoo Mail’s Advanced Search should let you select a specific folder, including Inbox, under “Search in.”
Your feedback is monitored by Yahoo, and it’s useful to mention that you tested both Chrome and Edge and that Inbox was not available in the mailbox list.

Hello!
I had an issue in the previous version, in that, when doing a search: I had to do an extra step EVERY TIME to search only the Inbox instead of being able to set a default. (I may have sent in a request for that).NOW, even that option is just GONE!
Please bring it back and allow us to set it as a default.Thank you

user was able to search mails from a sender from inbox. This feature is removed now. It is extremely difficult to list mails of sender from inbox so we can read, sort and delete them.
Also presently if we search mails from a one sender it lists mails from all folders in unsorted, disordered list. Every time user has to see the folder name written at the start of subject in list. this is adding interactions instead of improving.
Please provide search by folder at least. -

You really screwed up the search feature. It is a serious downgrade. Before you could select the folder to search and it would only include results from that folder. I don't want to pull up everything. The search function was better before this change.

I have lots of messages in folders so when I want to search for a message in a particular folder, it now brings up the messages in ALL the folders. And now the search function doesn't even show what folder a message is actually in! Makes search absolutely worthless! Some things should NEVER be discontinued. And that is one that definitely should be brought back. Thanks.

The old search function could limit the search scope to one mailbox. This is mandatory when you just want to do bulk moves of specific messages from Inbox to other folders. Please bring back this functionality!

Why cant I search INBOX only. Your new and NOT improved search function pulls up emails from inbox and folders in search despite me only wanting to search inbox. How can your company ***** up like this???

I want to search just a particular folder; you have stupidly made it so I can no longer do this.

Filtering incoming messages to folders has gone from a 2 second process into a nightmare. All I can see is that it will take a minute or more if I can figure out how to do it.

In the previous iteration of Yahoo Mail, advanced search allowed you to choose the folder(s) to search. It would be very helpful to bring this feature back. Thank you!

Please bring back all past features that are missing from this new design (current request: bring back the folder dropdown in the search box). Here's another one: the date indicators between groups of messages that are sorted by date are gone now (and they need to be restored). And it seems to me that the settings used to be easier to find (I did locate them after poking around for a while).
Frankly, it's hard to believe that these changes resulted from user testing. From my perspective, you're just trying to monetize the mail offering.

No matter what tips I try and follow, nothing allows me to search within a specific folder. I cannot search just my inbox, or just search within another folder. Please give us back this option. It is not an option under advanced menu.

The older version allowed you to pick which folder you wanted to search in. When I search for something, it now brings up everything in my email, so I am at risk of deleting saved emails that are saved in folders. I want to limit my search to my inbox only. I do not want my mail search to include what is in my folders. Either let me go back to the older version that lets me limit my search to the inbox or add the option back.

In the Classic Yahoo Mail, I was able to search email within a Folder. For example, I frequently search in Inbox folder for emails and then move them to different folders. However, the New Yahoo Mail is missing this feature. Now when I search emails, it lists all the matching emails from all folders... Now I lost the ability the search only the new emails, or emails still in the Inbox Folder...

When I am in the inbox on my iphone and search for say,Amazon. It gives me a choice of current mailbox or all mailboxes.
This thing you have on the PC is much more limited and does not allow for that.
I have to self filter looking for items which are still in the inbox if I want to move them to my Amazon file/mailbox.
This limitation and my needing to use more of my time is not frustrating, it is MADDENING!
