One of the reasons I continue to pay for Yahoo Mail Plus when there are so many free options available for email is the fact that YMP allows the use of multiple email aliases and filters, and I use them frequently. After the change to the new Yahoo Mail format, however, it is harder to send or reply to emails using these alternate email addresses because when I reply to a message that comes through an email re-router (like Craigslist), my reply automatically starts composing the reply from my MAIN EMAIL ADDRESS instead of the alternate address that was actually used to send the original email. I'm assuming this has to do with what the mail router does to the emails, because when emails are sent directly to me then it behaves correctly and replying to the email automatically uses whatever alias I originally used. In the old Yahoo Mail the "send from" drop-down was visible on EVERY reply so it was easy to change when the email re-routers messed things up, but in the new Yahoo Mail setup you have to click "show subject/cc/bcc" first and then choose from the dropdown. Not only is this an extra step/click, but because it's out of sight it's often also out of mind, so I don't notice that the "send from" email address that I'm using is different than what was originally used. At best, this leads to some confusion on my recipient's part, and at worst, it makes the re-mailer systems reject my emails.
