Unread v. Read Contrast
The contrast between read and unread emails in this new yahoo is unrecognizable. There needs to be greater contrast or a different color to differentiate between the two. I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW LOOK!

The old colour scheme was much better. You could differentiate between emails and between whats read and unread. Now the whole screen is just too white with text. And the black scheme is too dark and uniform.

Make new, unread messages, more prominent. They blend in easily with read messages.

The new email listing is effing TERRIBLE!
There is very little contrast and it is EXTREMELY hard to see the unread emails.
Please FIX this issue. -

The format/look of my email changed recently, and I don't like it. It is a problem. For new/unread emails, the coloring/lighting/font boldness is too subtle. I want it to be easy to spot which are new/unread, and which have been read. Please make these changes in my email account, or let me know how to do it. Thank you.

The difference in boldness from unread to read status is hard to distinguish. Can you make the difference more clear? My employees are unable to clearly keep track of customer emails. Thank you.

Unread emails really need a background—just having the font in bold isn't enough.

with the old mail layout, it was easier to tell at a glance what emails were new and unread. the unread emails had visibly distinct formatting--bolded text--and the older, read emails were presented with an unbolded font. the new layout retains the bolded formatting, but the visual difference between read and unread messages is very very poor now. it's much more difficult to tell at a glance what messages are new. the colored dot indicating new messages is much too far away from the subject and message preview line and the fonts are too similar

Since both the read and unread are basically white and the read message font is only slightly grayer, maybe have the whole message line be another color all together rather than the font color changing. Or make the font a completely different color and not just slightly dimmer. Way to hard to tell if you looked at it already or not.

Not a new idea, but I find the small dot off to the left & very slight difference in text weight makes it hard to quickly scan through a list of emails to see which are read/unread in the dark theme. It's much easier to distinguish in web gmail or outlook.

More contrast needed between read and unread emails. It should be instantly discernable which emails are read and which still need to be read - but it's not. Simple bold text does not stand out well enough.

New style isn't a deal breaker, however it is very hard to distinguish and "read" email vs. "unread" in this new formatting on the main email summary screen. Old version did a better job of keeping unread in a unique highlight

Unopened/unread emails are visually difficult to distinguish from those that have been read. Background is way too bright (can't use dark/black background as even harder to tell the dfifference). I'm not clearing all emails down as it's too much hard work and timne consuming so far less productive. The favourites list on the right (or wherever the use sets it) should be optional/user selectable rather than have to manually hide it at every session. The tabs at the top are annboying and nowhere near as practical as the previous method. They're fiddly, build up and then it's a pi9n to have to close them, even whne using the 'close all' option, it's all just too small, you've tried to cram too much on the page/screen like virtually all of your competitors. I'v e been using yahoo mail for maybe 30 years or more now but am seriosuly considerign transferring to somewher else, it really is that bad.
PLEASE PROVIDE THE OPTION TO REVERT BACK TO AT LEAST THE PREVIOUS GUI.

The new layout is very hard to see the difference between unread and read messages. The dot blends in too easily, the old version when I had my own theme would darken the unread message line slightly to make it easy to see.

I strongly dislike the new mailbox. Read vs unread emails look nearly identical, and there is no theme customization to change this. Maybe the text should change more noticeably, or the read email boxes show in a slightly different shade (darker/lighter/ different color?). It's tedious to review in its current state.

Can you add a slight coloration to the read messages (like gmail does) so its easier to see the difference between read and unread messages. Just the text bold vs not bold is hard to see in both light and dark mode.

With the new Yahoo appearance, when using dark mode, unread emails no longer stand out as clearly. They have a small purple dot and a slightly lighter text that's barely noticeable. It would be very nice to have the text stand out more with it's colour or boldness, and have the background colour for the email subject and preview line be darker or lighter. As it was on the older Yahoo appearance, which helped to clearly highlight unread emails.

The new email doesn't allow me to read all unread emails from all folders in one window. I have to select each individual folder to see what's unread and to open them. In the old (better) version, I could click on the "unread" folder and it would show all unread emails from all folders. Now, "unread" only shows them unread emails from the folder that I'm currently in. This really sucks and doesn't work for me.
