I have two separate Yahoo email accounts: one for my personal email and one for my volunteer activities.
Until recently, both accounts worked perfectly on my computers. Within the past week or so, Yahoo began automatically opening my volunteer email account instead of my personal account, even though I’d logged out of the volunteer account and logged into my personal account. And I couldn’t figure out how to access my personal email.
This problem occurred in multiple browsers on both my HP Windows laptop and desktop computer.
I signed out of all accounts, but the problem continued. I even installed the standalone Yahoo Mail app, hoping that would resolve it.
Finally discovered that both accounts were still listed in Yahoo's mailbox sidebar, and I could manually switch to my personal account. However, Yahoo was incorrectly opening my volunteer mailbox by default.
My question is: What changed, and why is Yahoo no longer opening the correct account automatically?
I would appreciate it if Yahoo would investigate this issue and correct whatever is causing the accounts to get mixed up.
I would appreciate being able to access my different email accounts without having to troubleshoot Yahoo's mailbox selection!
